I purchased this item to use while on vacation at Sanibel Island Florida. Sanibel Island is known for one of the best shelling sites in the world. After arriving at our RV Park on the Island, I found that the walk to the beach was 1 mile round trip. I donned the socks prior to walking to the beach to test them on fitting, comfort and integrity of the material. What I didn't realize on my walk that I would be walking on pavement, HOT pavement as well as cemented sidewalks. Once at the beach, I walked into the water and because of the banded strap around the ankle, no sand penetrated the socks while I enjoyed my time on the beach. VERY pleased with that experiment! The walk back from the beach I started feeling like a blister was forming on the pad of my right foot, as the road was still hot. I tried to walk on grass as much as possible but it was resident property I was walking on. Once back at our RV, I did develop a blister because the non slip material on the bottom of the sock had melted from the heat in that particular spot. The next 5 days, I wore the socks when shelling at other beaches on the island. They took a beating from walking on the shells in the surf and on the beach. Some of the threading may have been cut by shells and the non stick bottom was well worn away but overall, they are a great product, I just abused them more than the average beach walker. SO, if you're just looking for socks to wade in the surf or walk ON the beach or play beach sports, these socks are the bomb!

This is the 2nd pair of fin socks I’ve purchased from this company, which tells you that they must have worked well for me. They did/do! Exactly what I needed to prevent blisters caused by the movement of the fins rubbing against my toes. I tried at least 2 other similar products before searching for something better. This one is the perfect combination of comfort, fit, and functionality. The pull strap at the back makes these socks “easy” to pull on and the Velcro fitting strap helps secure the fit to minimize getting water inside through the top. They look good, they feel good on. The Anti-Slip textured sole is an added plus. The photo shows a slight curl in the sole, but that’s only because I keep them rolled up inside the fins after drying. These socks come flat, folded lengthwise. The M size fits my women’s 9.5 foot/shoe size and 3mm neoprene fits inside yellow Finis Z2 training fins, size E. Not unlike most swim gear exposed to pool chemicals, after some time (months?) the color began to fade and the seams started opening on the inside. Even then, they were still functional. Replaced with the 2nd pair because, well, “looking good is its own reward.” Would definitely buy again. And again.

I purchased these socks for a multi-day backpacking trip through a creek. I tested out the socks first while hiking 7+ miles through 9 bridges which were all overflowing with water, some as high as my thighs. These socks worked perfectly through the lower water crossings. Even when the water came above the sock line, the elastic at the top kept the water out quite well. It wasn't till I reached the higher water crossings that water actually went into the socks and my feet became wet. Even then, after tying the socks onto my backpack and walking for an hour, the socks dried out completely.Great buy - I'm usually a size 6.5 and got a size SMALL, which fit snugly. I also have bunions on both feet and feel the socks were just right, but if I had wider feet, the socks at this size may seem too tight.

Saw many a bad review of people who seem to think this can be used as a shoe...IT IS A SOCK! you do not go everywhere in socks,.. at least not normal people. It is perfect for kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding. keeps the feet warm and dry. An excellent sock for those who may have leaky boots... a great cold water sock. Its a sock, not a shoe. So don't expect it to last on asphalt, or concrete around a pool. Again, and I cant emphasis this enough, its a sock. an excellent cold weather, wet suit like sock.
