Outstanding. Great Price. One of the best black teas for sale on Amazon.
Really great strong and smooth black tea. I consider myself someone with discerning tastes in tea, I've reviewed hundreds of teas and around 75 different pure Assam black teas. And this one was definitely one of my favorites. This is exactly what I would expect from fresh TGFOP1 grade Assam tea. Rich, deep malty aroma with notes of dried fruit. Smooth flavor. Full-bodied. Great pick-me-up with a good caffeine kick but doesn't make me feel at all jittery. I feel very good after drinking this. This exceeded my expectations and I really have no complaints. Amazon isn't usually the best place to buy tea, but if you, like me, are a serious drinker of loose-leaf black tea and you need something to throw into your order to get over the free shipping threshold, I highly recommend giving this a try. This is definitely among the best best black teas I've found for sale on Amazon, and the price is fair.

Tastes good, and it's organic.
Years ago, while vacationing in China, I visited a Tea Plantation and saw a worker spraying insecticide on the lea leaves. That's when I decided to go organic.I used another very good tasting tea, but I think the company was sold, and it changed, but not to my liking (others might). So I tried a few different brands of organic tea, and this one had the best balance of malt to edge.I also like that it is dried tea leaves, instead of a powder. But most of all, I like the flavor.

Great quality black loose leaf
I love a strong black tea, and this one is delicious. Great flavor, with that perfect bitterness cut with some milk and sugar. Will continue to repeat buy for my morning or early afternoon pick me up!

Sweet
Great tea, mellow flavor - not malty or bitter, actually pretty sweet in flavor.

Lovely and mellow
I’m a Tea snob. I like my tea, strong, but mellow and not biting, are usually steep a minimum of six minutes. This tea was mellow and lovely and strong every time never got better. This is my tea now.

Pretty good, but not TGFOP1
I enjoyed this tea, but it was not entirely up to the standards I was hoping for. The Amazon page for this tea lists it as TGFOP1, but my bag has a sticker towards the top on the front that lists it as only FOP1, a lower grade. There are definitely not as many tips in my tea as in the official photos on this page advertising it.This tea does have some nice nuances and is fairly sweet and light for an Assam. It is still bold enough to hold up well with milk or even heavy cream (although you will lose some of the nuances this way). I found it a tad bitter when brewed for the full 4 minutes called for though. Overall, it’s a reasonably solid tea. I’m not entirely convinced this FOP1 tea is worth the cost, but I look forward to enjoying the rest of the bag.

Not a Very Good Assam!
I have been buying tea from Vahdam for the last couple of years and been pretty content with their teas. Recently I thought I would try something different, waste of money. From the Seller:In this bag, you find no fillers or dust. Instead you meet a mix of pure whole leaf black and aureate tea leaves. The gold leaves you see are the fabled tips of Assam. Prized for their complexity of scent and flavor, you will rarely find tips of these length and frequency.Upon brewing, you smell dates, almonds, and parsley as the liquor blooms a dark rosy red. You can watch the golden tips unfurl. As you take your first sip of the tea, you meet a flawlessly smooth balance of malt and sweet. While you can add milk and sugar, the honey after-taste will try to dissuade you.Not even close, no golden tips to be found, very little maltiness and zero sweetness. Don't Waste Your Money, this tea should retail for about $5.
