I got these about a dozen years ago and I like the size, shape, and stability. Unfortunately, the color is some sort of coating that bubbles up and peels off. Since I don't know what substance it is, I don't want anyone to ingest it so the glasses are now unusable.Maybe I'll put them through the dishwasher several times and see if I end up with solid clear glasses instead of peeling-off red.--------------------+Update 2024: now they only sell clear ones. Obviously bad quality.

these glasses are so "handy" - no pun intended. They fit in the hand perfectly and are gorgeous to boot. My mom has arthritic hands and we have trouble finding glassware that she is comfortable using. She finds these glasses easy to hold firmly and loves how they look too. Highly recommended.I am revising this review. The shape remains great, but the colored versions of this glass to not hold their color, at least not if you use the dishwasher on them (maybe I wasn't supposed to?). The color peels off. So, if you like the shape, get the clear ones.

I really like these glasses, I have small hands and the 10.5 oz size feels nice in my hand. The reason I gave it 5 stars is that I ordered two 10.5 oz sets and received one correct set and one of the 14 oz old fashion glasses. As always, Amazon customer service was exceptional, they T's me to keep the wrong set and they would send the 10 oz right away. I received the glasses very quickly, but they were the 14 oz size again. The box markings are almost identical so I think that these are slotted wrong in the warehouse. I decided to keep the 14 oz glasses and call it a day on this one. Some of the other reviewers mention the could see the seam and it is visible but I am fine with it. I had no issue with breakage, but I can see how it could happen, the glasses are boxed in retail packaging and while there is air pillows inside the shipping box and the glasses are only cushioned on three sides, the is potential for the glasses to break en route to your home.

I bought these glasses because a previous reviewer indicated they were dishwasher tough. I have four children and seem to go through glassware like water. These are proving to be tough. Bought four glasses seven months ago as a trial. They have stood up very well under regular usage, yet to break a single glass, which was at least a monthly occurrence. They have been knocked over on the table , in the sink and on counter, dropped to the floor, and clanged around in loading and unloading the dishwasher without a single casualty.Since the original, I have purchased these glasses in three different sizes and cannot be more pleased. They are attractive, sturdy without being bulky. The pattern feels great in the hand and works well with little hands. The indentation pattern gives kids a more secure grip. Glasses to not slip easily out of hand. I have retired the old glassware to Goodwill and look forward to having these for many years to come.

I love these Sorgente glasses for their design and grip. They are several models in the collection, but this size is my favorite. I bought them in Italy, in Austria and now in the USA. They get scratches in the dishwasher after a while despite they are pretty sturdy, but I always buy them again. They are very classy and match any kind of flatwares or dinnerwares. A must! Dimensions are 8.9 x 7.1 x 5 inches, they are not too small, not too big, but perfectly sized.

Two things I was looking for were unique and durable and that's what all the reviewers said about these. Thanks reviewers! Now I have really pretty, expensive looking glasses and I swear my drinks taste better. Really. When you're looking at your beverage in an ugly or boring glass, it seems to taste fine. If you get a glass like this, I think it makes your brain smile right before you drink from it. I don't think this is a statistically proven fact or anything, but these glasses look really great, and they're literally almost slip proof for clumsy people like me. Nice thick glass, well made. I ordered 2 sets of 2 sizes and all of them showed up in perfect condition.
