Underperformed inside the shower.
First impression: It looks nice. It is easy to pick up and hang dry. However, after using this item, it fell short of my expectations. I used this inside the shower. A big disappointment was the ease of which is moved as you turn and move under the shower. The amount of the "non slip grips" are, in my opinion, insufficient. There needs to be many more, I would suggest having this backing on all of the bottom surface. It did seem to lower the chance of a slip. However, when I opened the shower door and stepped out, the mat did indeed slip and move a couple of inches away from me. Water drainage during the shower was also worse than expected. The drain is centrally located in the shower pan. With this location, the mat did cover the drain. In a matter of seconds, the water level was slightly higher than the top of the mat. It stayed at this level and did not rise higher. The drainage through the top of mat seems much better than the flow from the sides to the drain. All in all, I was underwhelmed, especially at this price point. I cannot in good conscious say I would purchase another or recommend it.

low quality
I purchased this shower mat a couple of months ago. In the short time that has passed since then, the transparent polish completely peeled off, and the wood has now an opaque greyish tone. Moreover, the plastic thread connecting the plaques is rather loose (it was never tight, not even out of the box) so the mat doesn't keep a neat squared shape. It does its job, so I am using it, but it looks overall very cheap and ugly, so I would not recommend this product. There are other brands out there, they might be better. I should specify that I keep the mat on the floor, not in the bathtub, so it gets (a bit) wet only when I get out of the shower once or maximum twice a day.

Already worn out looking
We've had a teak shower mat for well over seven or eight years when I decided to replace it as it was getting slightly worn out on the top and we had just redone out bathroom.Big mistake on my part. In two months this one looks worse than the very old one I replaced. The finish on it is almost completely worn off -- not sure why or how -- especially when compared to the old one.

Nice looking (mostly) teak mat
A nice mat that is MOSTLY made of teak squares. Nice feet on the bottom to keep it from slipping. My main complaint, aside from it not being 100% teak is that Amazon sends it in a HUGE box. Wish they would try cut down on pacakging.

not worth the price, breaks easily
This looked good, but twice it broke. The "string" that kept it together was broken on the first one that was delivered. We returned it for another. Then, after only a couple of weeks, it broke again! We contacted the company directly and they replaced it free. The third one, we used for a while. But because it lays on the ground, it gets moldy and slimy quickly. And it's hard to clean (especially because we didn't want it to break.) The small black "non slip" pads on the bottom didn't stay on very long either. I would not recommend.

Teak spa floor matt
We just completed a major bath remodel with a walk-in (no barrier) shower. We used the same tiles in the shower pan area as the rest of the floor tile but had them cut into 2x2 to follow the contour of the pan. But the rest of the 16x16 porcelain tiles proved slippery when wet (just adjacent to the shower area. The floor matt does not slip, is water proof, and provides a perfect solution when stepping into the slippery area. Best part - it is a perfect match to the bench, wall and ledge capping we have that had already been stained a teak color. All proved to be a nice accent to the white marble throughout.

Slipping danger
It is NOT sable on the shower tiles inspite of the little pads they’ve attached on the undersides. Just normal turning when taking a shower causes them to move. If you step on them from an angle they’ll slide and this could easily cause a fall and serious injury, especially for older people. You’ll need to find and attach another product that really does grip. Other than that it is a well made and attactive product.

Feel Safer
I have a large shower so I bought 2. They are excellent! I have scrubbed the little anti-slip bumps off my 3 year old shower. I did not want decals. They are excellent! I haven't slipped on the shower floor since purchasing these mats.
