The Words of Martin Luther King, Jr.

This is a great introduction to a man whose wisdom and faith inspired generations.
I hope at sometime to be able to read everything he wrote and understood his Thesis for his Doctorate is worth the read. For me this volume sits with my prayer books and picking this volume up will sure to bring back a memory or inspire to work for a better World. The photo on the back of dust jacket shows a picture of Ghandi behind Dr. King and if you get no further than reading the quote under that photo, you will gain an insight. One of the reasons I went for this is Corretta Scott King assembled the writings for this volume. I think it makes no difference which God you Worship or the colour of your skin, even those who are not of faith will gain something. The reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars is the fact that this is a limited look at a great person who paid the ultimate price for the future of mankind.

Paperback version not recommended
The book's content is very good. I own an older hard copy print. When I ordered the paperbacks as gifts, they are much smaller in size, and the print is very small. The two paperback copies I ordered as gifts also came with scuffed and torn edges. Disappointing quality of this paperback product!

Quality writing and organization impacted by TINY print!
I rated this book five stars for content and organization of material. The topics are very relevant and the quotes cited within the topic headings are easily referenced. The size of the print and the book itself are TOO small and really impact the overall use of the book. At 80, I have to use a magnifying glass to read properly. Sad, because Dr. King and Coretta Scott King are the authors.

The book was a misprint
This book was cut at an angle, you can read everything but you have to tilt the book to do so. I would not buy from this seller because it is an obvious misprint.

Call For Action
A remarkable man that gave his life fighting for equality for African Americans in the U.S., Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. His wife, Coretta Scott King, wrote the introduction and selected nearly 120 quotes that chronicle his fight for freedom. There are excerpts from his "I Have A Dream" speech that always brings tears to my eyes. Then the other quotes will make you think about how far have we really come. After reading you will thank God for such a compilation of words. I'm encouraged and ready to volunteer for freedom.

this is an excellent book to keep it with you
The book is too small for me to read it. However, they gave me the full refund. I appreciated it!! If you need a pocket book, this is an excellent book to keep it with you!

now i know Dr King
i am so honored to read his wise words. everyone of every ethnicity should read this book. we all can make our relationships to each other just like a good old friend if we all abide by his words. this is one of the Kendal books that misspelled words and i could not always read when the page was in columns.
