Sonos, easy setup and improved sound
It took me a long time to pull the trigger on this soundbar. I read review after review. Why did I want a sound bar....I have a Samsung Smart "Big Screen" TV but was always dissatisfied with the sound quality from the on board speakers, even when I tried the different settings. My wife did not want lots of speakers and "stuff" but was ok with a neat sound bar. I looked for something with reasonable reviews and not over the top expensive. After much work I eventually selected the Sonos over several alternatives. It arrived and I set it up using the instructions, worked straight from box, no issues at all, so 5* for that. Second, the immediate difference in sound quality was great improvement over the on board TV speakers, I switch from TV to soundbar several times to make sure I was just not being biased because I wanted the soundbar to be better, it was, so 5*. I then scrolled through my FIOS channel selector and selected big sound movies, sports with crowd background, studio debates, nature shows with animal sounds with narration, cartoons and studio news programs, they all sounded better on the Sonos so another 5*. Lastly the looks, it is sleek enough to be unobtrusive and sits on a shelf under the TV without really being noticeable at all so another 5*.Overall I am very pleased with the decision to purchase this soundbar. I can't vouch for how much better or worse it is than any other soundbar, but it was worth the money for how much better it is compared to the TV speakers

Bye bye, receiver
I bought a Cambridge Soundworks 5.1 speaker system and a JCV receiver at Best Buy in 1995. Although only the left, right, and center speakers are from the original set, I’ve kept the same basic set up using a Harmony Ultimate universal remote to access. But OLED burn in on my LG made it necessary to get a new set. I bought a Hisense 65” as my set. I decided on this Sonos unit because of the price and the reviews. I also already had Sonos speakers and a subwoofer in my bedroom. After some misunderstanding involved in all the new technology TVs use now, I now have Beam, Apple TV, and 4K disk player on my new system. I played a little Masters of the Air involving n air battle. Flak was exploding over my coffee table and planes were crashing near my kitchen. I was apprehensive about the simulated Atmos but it sounds great. I’m sure upward-facing speakers would be nice but the bombs were bursting in my living room air.

don't bother if you are an android user. Could not even get it to connect in setup.
This product relies completely on an app you must load. There is no remote, nor is there any real way to control it without first connecting to an app. My phone was able to find the device, but then it required connection to a wifi signal. That is where the wheels came off. Apparently it can only connect to a 2.4GHz signal. My typical signal is 5Ghz. I did turn on a 2.4 just so I could connect but it still would not in the app. My network showed the device, but the app kept failing. No app, no functionality. calling support landed me a 35min wait and online help showed basically there is nothing you can do. So this item is immediately being returned.I can't stress enough how stupid this design is. If you have a product that relies 100% on the app, then the app better work. I will never waste time with a sonos system again. If I could give this zero stars, I would. I wasted two hours trying to get this to work and get someone on the phone.

Excellent sound quality
I bought this when I upgraded to bigger smart tv. The sound quality is excellent. Before this product I had to turn on subtitles when I watched movies on Tv as the sound quality was not good. But with this product the sound is so clear and crisp I don’t need to turn on sound titles. Also very good to hear music. The only problem I have with Sonos is their app which is horrible.

Glitchy app but great once you get through it...
We bought a Beam (gen 2) soundbar and an Era 300 on sale recently. While the instructions are clear, he This would be 5 stars except the APP is glitchy and not as intuitively user friendly ( unless you're a software engineer!). During initial setup the AP stopped with error message "unable to register product." After 3 attempts (two hours) it stayed with the message. FORTUNATELY , we had a friend of our neighbors who worked for Sonos and he was great at walking through it - finally had to do factory reset on both units and then was able to proceed. Did advanced tuning for each room - and the sound quality of these units is unbelievably good. We had a small portable Bose speaker - this is a long overdue step up! Once set up you wont regret it! Just be patient......

Soundbar and Home Audio two for one
Great, clear sound for watching TV and then can function as Sonos wifi speaker and work with their other speakers. Does not give as much bass as a system with dedicated subwoofer but response is decent. My master bedroom is adjacent to nursery and I love the speech enhancement. We can actually hear the dialogue without waking up the baby.
