Dalen Gardeneer GS-5-1000 Ground Staple Box, 5-Inch, Pack of 1000

I will never have to buy garden staples again! I bought these for about $19 so that was a great deal. They are working well. I did bend a few while hammering them in but I have more then enough to spare. Maybe using a wider hammer would be better. I haven't had any in the ground long enough to notice any rust yet.

I ordered the 1000 pack. Got here in a few days. I did not count the staples, but they are in a small box (5" wide by 5" tall by 16" long) that is completely full with staples all oriented widthwise so they are really packed in there, and the box is very heavy, and there certainly could be 1000 staples in it by looking at what 10 looked like and then looking at what is in the box. I like the Dalen staples because they are wide enough (approx 1 inch) at the top to hold my drip tape without squeezing it, and the metal of the staple is a little thicker than some of the other staple brands I have used. So, I am happy!!

"Sold as 5 UNITS at $5.17 per unit. (1 unit = Pk/20.)" is what the body says for this ad. This equals $25.85 according to my calculator. However this ad is charging $79.99 (plus $8.49 for s&h). Let the buyer beware.
