This is a nice, compact picnic bag for two people. The cutlery is adequate, but the knives can't be used to cut anything too firm (hard cheese) or the handles will bend. The plates that come with it are very small and thin, more dessert plate size than dinner plate. The cutting board is small and thin, but good for cutting cheese or slicing up a piece of fruit The napkins are likewise quite small. I add full size paper plates, paper napkins, a corkscrew, and a small paring knife to the basket when I use it.My only real complaint is that the zipper that separates the top compartment from the main compartment is a little tricky to close, especially if the bottom isn't stuffed full to make it rigid. I like the extra side pockets and the shoulder strap as well as the carry handles. These are all well done. The upper compartment is padded, but won't keep food cold for long. The insulated bottom compartment (with addition of a freezer block) keeps food cold for a few hours at least. For an idea of size, you can fit two wine bottles and a little more in the top compartment, 2 6-packs or three wine bottles in the bottom. This is perfect for a modest lunch, but won't hold giant bags of chips, baguettes, and other oversized items. The compact size has also made this a nice carry-all to transport a dish to a potluck dinner.
