Tektro HD-E500 Auriga E-Bike Disc Brake Dual Piston Caliper with Sensor Control, MH2011

Items seems and looks solid and of good quality. Item is not as described though... in questions and answers its say that it comes with julet connector but as picture shows ... no such thing... wrongful and misleading. FYI. This has 2 wire switch connections. What I was looking for to fit my application is 3 wire. This may work for someone else but too bad it didn't work out for me. Hope this helps. Cheers.

I am currently running a 5000 watt hub motor on my Fat tire Mongoose bike - with that kind of power I really need electrical cutouts for braking. I installed the brakes and swapped out some existing Tektro hydraulics with add on e bike sensors for these new Tektros with fully integrated sensors. The problem is that they constantly short out requiring jiggling of the brake lever after each braking event. When they short out they cut the power to the motor as if the levers are still depressed. It’s very unnerving trying to pull out onto a busy city street thinking that you have full electrical assist - only to discover that there is no assist thanks to the brake levers shorting out. Overall these Tektros are less reliable than the add on e-bike sensors I had previously. As for actual braking they do a stellar job like all Tektros.

Easy to install Break lines were already cut to size just bolt on. Smooth action love them.
