Treat your hair a bit
I do like majority of New Nordic products ands this hair volume and shine serum is not exception. I have really thin hair so I do not expect much of volume out of them. However I feel so much better when them thin hair looks shiny and healthy( even if they not healthy) . Anyway, this serum makes my hair seem to be more shiny. You need only a little amount for that. I did not notice that it would make my hair look more oily. I think we are all different and it is difficult to predict if this serum will meet your expectations. I am however happy with this serum.

Made hair a little smoother
The media could not be loaded. As I am currently trying out some other New Nordic products I thought this might be good to add to my haircare routine. My hair is dull, and menopause has made it look less smooth so I was hoping for smoother, shinier hair.The serum is very fluid compared to other serums I have tried. The directions say to spray it on hair but it doesn't spray the product, it just spurts it out so I have to dispense it into my hand and then apply it. It has a light texture but has a slight stickiness. It has a very subtle scent which I like.I've tried using it before blow drying and when air drying my hair and it worked slightly better when blow drying but this might be because I'm keeping brushing it through my hair while blow drying so it maybe ensures the product is more evenly dispersed than when air drying.My hair is a little smoother but it isn't any shinier. I have medium texture, waist length wavy hair and you may get different results depending on the texture and type of hair you have.

Watery hair serum, left my hair greasy rather than shiny
I have tried some other products from the New Nordic brand before so was looking forward to using this hair volume shine serum.I like that is made from natural ingredients such as apple, millet and rosemary extract which are supposed to provide softness as well as restoring a healthy look, shine and volume to the hair. It is a very runny, watery texture, and when I sprayed it directly onto my hair, it just seemed to sit on my hair rather than being absorbed into it. It also is more of a jet of serum rather than a nice mist which I didn't really like. I also tried spraying onto my hands first and it did seem better when my hair was damp, but after blow-drying my hair was flat and greasy, I have jaw length, straight, fine hair so was not impressed with the result.The size of the bottle means that this would last for a while as you only need a small amount. I still think it is expensive though, the scent of this serum is quite subtle, but I didn't particularly like it. Given that I didn't see any increase in volume or shine in my hair, I would not buy this in the future as it doesn't seem to be effective at all for me.

The Emperor's New Hair Serum!
My first impression was one of disappointment because the box was completely battered and discoloured - as though it had been sitting forgotten in a suitcase for years, getting bashed about by successive bouts of packing.My second impression was that this is a very watery, non-oily product. And although it smells utterly lovely, having used it twice now, I really cannot see what the point of it is. I genuinely don't feel that it's made any difference to blow-drying my hair at all, and I am completely surprised that it costs almost £30.

Nice product but packaging not great.
I really like this hair serum. I have fine, colour-treated hair which always needs a bit of assistance in the volume and shine department. I use about 4 sprays of the serum and I do not get any greasy residue at all. It makes my hair feel soft and look a bit bouncier. I can't fault the serum. My only issue is the packaging. Although the bottle comes in an attractive little box, when you take it out it says shake before use, which I did. The top doesn't seem to fit very well on the bottle and I had some leakage, which went all over my hands and the bathroom surface. Luckily it didn't go everywhere and was fairly easy to clean up. Also, the serum is a bit thick for the spray nozzle attached so it doesn't really spray out, rather sort of spurts out in a blob. Not an issue particularly but I feel you would get better distribution if the spray was a bit more effective. Despite the minor packaging issues I really like this product and will continue to use it.

Pleased With the Shine
I have now had the opportunity to take this product to my gym, where I used it after washing my hair in the shower.I enjoyed the light scent, and found it easy to comb through with no stickiness.For context, I am a 61-year-old woman, who has very thick hair (gotta love those collagen supplements...) but it can be prone to dryness and looking a bit dull.It would be a lie to say that my hair was 'gleaming' after use, but I did see a marked improvement in my tired-looking locks that I felt pleasing. My hair also felt a little softened. At my age, I don't expect miracles in any beauty product, and suspect younger folk would see better results - but as it clearly works, it's 5-stars from me, and I will happily continue to use it.It is impossible to comment about 'volume' - as I have already mentioned that my hair is thick (and could possibly do with a little less volume).

Watery and not particularly effective
I have fairly fine, fairly short hair and I'm always looking for lightweight ways of making my hair look shinier and healthier.This serum, as other reviewers have noted, is fairly watery so I had to spray it onto my hands rather than directly into my hair. I found that the serum was slightly sticky with a mild, not unpleasant scent.The serum did improve the overall look of my hair, but not excessively and I was disappointed with the results. Also, as the day wore on my hair felt slightly lank and heavy, which wasn't pleasant!Overall, although this product did have some positive effect on the overall look of my hair, I don't think it's a particularly strong addition to this range. The wateriness of the product and the general stickiness of it has put me off continuing to use it.
