Disappointed
I like the boots They feel great and don't seem too small or too large. I normally wear a 6 1/2 so I got a 7. BUT, my toes get cold and I'm so disappointed. In less than half an hour my toes are getting cold. Maybe they're too small? My foot feels great in them, snug, but not overly tight. I wear thin 20% wool socks. I took the liners out last night after wearing them out to feed the horses, and clean the barn, in 20 degree below zero weather. The insides of the boots were wet, and one of the waffle insoles was bent back at the toe. It was like that from the factory because I didn't do anything but wear them. I thought all would be good today since the liners and boots dried overnight. But my toes got cold again today, and it's a balmy 8 below zero right now. I'm in northern MN. I don't know what to do. Am I doing something wrong? I am sure they will not take them back as they have been used, unless the bent back tip of the waffle insole could be considered a defect. Will they break in so that my toes have more room? I don't know because I have worn them each day, for a couple hours, for 3 days now, and they don't feel any looser. I thought FINALLY I found a boot to keep my feet warm. And now I'm out a hundred and some dollars. Sucks.

Terrible disappointment
Were a little snug @ first, but loosened up well. I bought a size 6, but I usually wear a 5 1/2. Seem fairly comfortable. (UPDATE- Not sure how they claim the temp they do. I was in 20 degree above & my toes were starting to chill. Also, my feet were getting moist. Never had this problem w/ boots before. I sent back. Defective pair...? Maybe, but I was extremely disappointed.) Yet to determine how good @ extreme temps. Could really use cushion for bottom of feet, as much walking makes feet fatigued. I am quite surprised by how lightweight they are. Helps to not feel weighted down. Hoping they really are good to @ least 40 below or so (says to 148 below.) So many others claim to go that low, but fail miserably. I've had a pair of LaCrosse before that were awesome, but can't get those anymore it seems. These sounded like they might fit the bill for our Alaskan life. Time will tell, Winter is just starting in, so we will see how they fare. Staying warm when out and about here is essential and can potentially mean frostbite or even life or death w/out the right gear.

they don't provide warmth at the temps advertised
I exchanged a pair of Kamuks for these Baffins because the Kamuks were too big, and my brother told me Baffins are crazy warm (also double the price though). I'm wearing them now, it's 27° F and my feet are freezing. No idea why they say they're rated to -148 or whatever. They are definitely thicker insulation, tight at first especially the the toe box (snug is probably a better word cuz they don't hurt) but they break in (still too tight to wear with thick socks though). If I went a size up they would be too big (my heel slides a little in the pair I have).I'm at a loss, where can I get boots that keep my feet warm when it's below freezing? (I need them for wearing outside for 4-6 hours in the winter)

Best Boots
By far the warmest boots I've ever owned. I am a musher, every weekend from mid December to the beginning of March , I'm out typically from 8 am until about 5pm on a golf course running dogs. 9hrs no shelter. So knowing how to dress and having good gear is critical. I have a wide foot. So instead of wearing thick heavy smartwool socks or layering them I just used a pair of think moisture wicking socks with these boots and it's almost as if I'm wearing a heated boot. They are a bit klunky and walking in them takes some getting used to, they are not for driving in. Anyone who works outside will tell you, put minimum layers on in the car and do the rest when you get there. Those of you with cold toes try a thinner sock. If you are looking for multiple hours of comfort these boots don't disappoint. Remember to layer your torso so that you keep your blood flowing to your hands and feet , also what you eat will make a difference , only foods that are vaso dialaters before long periods of weather exposure. Thanks BaffinMush Love

By far the best snow mobile boot/ warm weather boot I have ever ...
Came quickly. By far the best snow mobile boot/ cold weather boot I have ever seen. Warm thick, but light liners- removable. Light weight boot, but extremely warm Iceland boot for woman is rated 148 F below zero, and it seems like it could do that. Tread is excellent on ice. have yet to see if its waterproof- but it sure looks like it will be very waterproof. Durable, a bit hard to tighten around the the ankle/shin area, but I do have slender calves. A bit tight at first on toes, but you will not need thick socks. Very light boot, excellent top notch- first ever for a woman- why do they think we prefer to look skinny over being warm? This boot delivers both- not too bulky, light weight and extremely warm

I love these shoes
I love these shoes !!!! I live in Alaska, they are perfect for our winter with snow, rain, below 0 F and above 32 F sometimes. I read previous reviews that they are bulky, yes they are definitely not for walking on the street for fancy shopping. I walk dogs in them, clean snow around house, walk in forest, go ice-fishing and I am happy to have them on my feet. Shoes have a very good traction on the ice. I have size 7, ordered the same, and it is perfectly fit. Very good quality, easy to put on and off, very good tightening and they are very light. Very comfortable to drive a car also. These are my second Baffin boots, and I'll probably buy more because the quality is perfect.

Amazing boots
Wonderful wonderful boots keep your feet amazingly warm! And the quality of the boot will last you at least 30 + years. Yes they are expensive but i think about it this way. As a women i have to buy a new pair of winter boots every year i live in canada, up north. the salt always gets to my boots they get ruined the inside near the heal wear down and rips. So instead of buying new boots every year i invested in these boots that will last me many years to come and save me money down the road. You dont get quality like this any more best boots you can buy. Plus they are the warmest boots i have ever owned.

They are pretty warm. Better than my old Sorel Joan of ...
The liner of the boot is very squishy and hugs your feet much more than expected. I ordered a size larger than usual and I can't wear thick socks yet (I do think in time it will be better). If I try to have the boots tight they rub on my shins, but that just might be me.They are pretty warm. Better than my old Sorel Joan of Arctic boots. My toes start to get cold around -30°C when surrounded by snow but they warm up really quickly once I have them off the ground.Definitely the warmest boots I have yet tried.

Love supporting Canadian companies
Fit as expected. Ordered my usual size 8. Initially though I had ordered a men's size by accident; they look huge in the box but it's because they're so insulated lol. Will be wearing these snowmobiling in northern New Brunswick and Quebec ... will update post.Love supporting Canadian companies. Quality seems superior. Amazon offered best pricing. Shipping was quick.

Amazing Boots
I am so glad I ordered these boots for my wife. She loves them. Fits a bit snug so might want to recommend one size up. Glad I read the reviews. These are absolutely authentic Baffin Boots.
