High tech ID bracelet for a fraction of the cost of most conventional bracelets
Nice idea, but unsure if first responders will figure out the NFC Tap function. I do use it myself to pull up my medical history at the doctor's office. The information engraved in band should be filled with white rubber to be read by mere mortals, so a wallet card is good backup. The online storage and recall of medical history is a great feature. You can enter your full history and only make part of it accessible by the code associated with the band, which is nice.I haven't worn a watch in years and was concerned about wearing a wrist band, but it is comfortable and I usually forget about it. The fasteners are metal studs that go through holes in band. (I think I've seen something similar for scuba equipment) Takes a bit of manual dexterity and finger strength to push them through, but once it's on there is no reason to remove it as you can clean it as you shower. It's non-conductive, which is good for someone like me who works with electricity.Yet to see how long the medic alert graphic holds up.I'd say it is definitely worth the money.Followup:The graphic is wearing off and the outermost stud has failed on the original and replacement band that the manufacturer sent for free when the first one failed. I just opened another ticket, so I'll see if they send me another.I purchased a two sided 20 line dog tag style necklace to back this up and put the HealthID.com info on the back side.BTW, I am now a volunteer EMR and everyone in EMS I show this thinks it is the slickest thing ever made.

Some drawbacks...
Pros: it was very easy to get on the website and load my information, and a quick test with my smartphone shows it works great. It's very easy to adjust the size and the fit is secure.Cons: Now that I have it on my wrist, I am not really sure that EMS would recognize this as a medical alert bracelet...it just doesn't stand out AT ALL. It's a black rubber band with a fairly small, slightly blurry white medical graphic that only says NFC TAP. I think a better graphic might actually say MEDICAL ALERT or something similar somewhere. To me it just looks like a fashion rubber bracelet and I imagine it could be easily overlooked by EMS more familiar with traditional bright silver bracelets with bright red emblems. Secondly, the unique medical ID number imprint that EMS without NFC should be able to type in to find your medical info is not highlighted at all and impossible to see unless you are specifically looking for it. So I think it is a great resource for keeping records in one place easy to access, I am just not so sure it will cover me in an emergency to be honest....

Will EMT's actually use it?
I have purchased a few of these, including one for my elderly father. He was recently taken to the hospital by ambulance and the EMT's had no clue what to do with this bracelet. None of them could access it with their phones even though my sister could with hers adn showed them how. When he got to the ER, the personnel there were not interested in checking the website either - Sis still had to just write everything down on their forms. Granted it was easier for her to list all his drugs by checking her phone, but I think this thing just gives us a false sense of security.

Some Issues
My wife likes it except for three reasons: #1 It states that it is fully waterproof BUT, the metal is already rusting onto her skin. This is with her sweat or when it gets wet when she washes her hands. #2 It does show how many times a day she takes her medication when you search the HIP number. This is very important for hospitals to know. #3 It doesn't show your attachments when a hospital looks it up. Other than that, it’s an okay product for the price. We like that you don't have to charge it and there is no battery.

This Health Band isn't the best fit for me and will have to unfortunately look ...
Large and bulky, hard to get used to. But also the metal prongs that attach the wrist straps dig into my wrist and really hurt, so I can't even wear it properly. I keep it in my purse and I rather not do that. It's not always possible to keep it with me if it's not on my arm. I also can't figure out how to check my information with it from my phone even though I input it all on the website. This Health Band isn't the best fit for me and will have to unfortunately look for something more compatible. Good idea/concept though, wish it had worked for me.

Not durable
I like the concept of having your health information readily available.HOWEVER,1- product life is short. About 2 weeks after the return window closed, one of the brad fasteners came off. About 1 month later another came off. The bracelet is not secure with only 1 fastener.2- the white emblem faded and the NFC was unreadable.Save your money and get one of the USB bracelet or necklaces.

Almost there
Scanning portion is great linking website information. The metal studs used for connecting the band do not last. They rip out of the rubber and make bracelet useless. Need another fastening method to become great. After two failures went to using just the ID card in my wallet.
