The Worship Pastor: A Call to Ministry for Worship Leaders and Teams

Elevates the notion of what it means to be worship leader
There are many excellent books addressed to worship leaders. You'll find books on musicianship, on character, on skills for leading songs, on choosing songs, on the history of worship, on the theology of worship, you name it. All great stuff. But I can't think of anything else that focuses on the vital question of what worship leading contributes to the wider pastoral task of the church. Zac Hicks not only engages that question here, but in doing so profoundly elevates the notion of what it means to be worship leader. Each short chapter is a self-contained meditation on a particular aspect of the vocation, each one rooted in broad reading and deep ministry experience. The sum total is a philosophical and practical manifesto for ministry.

Still reading this book but overall, my impression is that it is quite good although I almost feel like I need a dictionary. Good, helpful content, enabling the foundations for healthy worship ministries.
