Bach - The Well-Tempered Clavier | 48 Preludes and Fugues Songbook for Piano | Complete Books 1 and 2 | Schirmer Library Sheet Music Vol. 2057 | ... Library of Musical Classics, 2057)

If you play the piano, you should have this.
Probably doesn't need to be said, but this is an essential collection for piano players, whether classical, rock, or otherwise. Playing and learning how Bach constructed piano pieces will help you become better both at playing and at composing or improvising, or simply to have a better grasp of Western music. Buy this.

Love Bach
I need to dedicate more time to practice. But, can’t go wrong with Bach’s WTC!

Well Tempered Clavier
In Bach’s era all pieces in books 1 and 2 were used as the training ground for aspiring pianists!! So…… why not today?

It seems just a bit arrogant (and pointless) to rate the work of J.S. Bach
But the book was in great shape

Awesome book, complete with both volumes, but have some mistakes
I am a piano beginner, but really wanted to learn Preludes in C Major and C Minor, so instead of cheaping out with printing, decided to invest in this book. It is HUGE, far thicker than I expected but I do enjoy the quality. Printing is clear, it is a bit cramped but i actually appreciate that for most pieces it spans exactly 2 pages, so i don't need to page flip.i'm only on prelude 1 (C Major) right now, and note that this book includes the "Schwencke measure" (an extra measure between 22 and 23, so in this case measure 23 is the additional from Schwencke). It took me a while to figure it out, as I'm self learning, so without a teacher, i was watching youtube video performances (with music sheet following along) on youtube, and realized that several times something doesn't match up right in the latter half of the piece. Eventually tracked it down to that funny measure.Hopefully this is helpful for some people who were as confused as I got over that extra measure!

I love playing Bach!
I love this book! Prelude No.2 in C minor, Prelude No.12 in F minor,.. worth the purchase.

Good version
The binding and paper appear to be well done and I expect it to last a long time as other Schirmer music books have.
