Inconclusive and boring
I bought this book in hopes of embarking on a mysterious recollection of a disappearing girl. However, as I plodded through the chapters, I continued finding my attention waning and my focus drifting. The writing style is bland and simple, without any interesting details. I kept waiting for the plot to gain momentum, to grab me!My hopes were futile. I finished the book feeling unsatisfied with the lousy, inconclusive ending and quite frustrated with how much time I wasted with this novel.I do not recommend buying this book.

Love love love love love love love this book
I love the voice of Hawthorn in this book. Even as she becomes more and more obsessed with discovering the truth of this missing girl, even as she inserts herself more and more into the missing girl's life, even as Hawthorn's grasp on reality slips and slips - I want to stay with her and see what she discovers. This is a book filled with devastation, and truth, and even amongst all the darkness is good humor and hope. Did I mention I love this book?

Great writing, but...
This story is well written and I enjoyed the main character’s quirky personality. However, the love interest left me scratching my head. I also feel like a sensitive subject was treated poorly and was an odd choice for a conclusion. If those situations had been handled more appropriately, this would be a five star read. Maybe others won’t have the same issues I did.

Good
Good book. Liked the characters and was slightly uncomfortable a few times. Which I like in a book. Worth the read, all though it is a very young persons read. I'm an almost 30 year old mom and sometimes like to read YA novels for fun.

Never Read a More Relatable Book!
I can't get over how wonderful this book was. Hawthorn Creely is painfully awkward, acerbic, and lonely... and 100% relatable. I wish I had this book when I was in high school just to know I wasn't alone for wanting a bit of magic and mystery. This is a must-read for every teen. You'll love Hawthorn's wit, you'll ache over every mishap, and you'll be dying to know just what happened to Lizzie Lovett too.

Book Review
I thought this book was AMAZING!! The YA market is heavily saturated, and I enjoyed reading a book exploring different themes for this age group. It also reminded me of how I was as a teenager. Definitely an awesome read, and I'm looking forward to reading the next book by Chelsea Sedoti, As You Wish/

Loved It
This novel has something for every one, humor, mystery, philosophy and even werewolves. After reading the excerpt, I expected to like this book, but remained stunned and amazed at how much I loved this powerful work of art.

Give me Quirky Any Day!
I got this book as a gift because everyone knows that I love YA books even though I am a senior. I loved the main character Hawthorn and her quirky way of thinking. (Quirky teenagers are the best!) I hope that Chelsea continues to write novels with interesting characters like this and interesting teen stories that make us look at the world in different ways. Nicely done!

Compelling & Thoughtful
A girl goes missing, and the main character comes up with her own bizarre theory as to what has happened...a theory that no one can take seriously, until someone does. And the more she talks about it, the deeper her belief grows, until the truth is all tangled up and she's not sure what's real and what's not anymore. I enjoyed it and I think readers who enjoy YA contemporary with an air of mystery and uncertainty will appreciate this one too.
