Can i use any kind of paint ?

Yes, but you’ll need to change the pin out, which is included. The blue pin is for top coats and/or varnish, the green tip is for chalk/milk paint & the red tip is for latex paint. You’ll need to water down pretty much any & all paint, but it’s so easy! I was very scared to try when I first bought mine, but now it’s as easy as 1,2, 3!! Best decision I ever made was to buy this sprayer!! I refinish furniture, so I use it pretty often. Just make sure to clean out in between uses!

can I use semigloss paint for my kitchen cabinets in this sprayer

Yes! Ive used semi-gloss paint in my sprayer! Just make sure if you use water based, you clean with water & soap. If your semi-gloss paint is oil based, then clean with mineral spirits! I love this sprayer...I use it for many projects! Good luck, practice before you tackle your kitchen cabinets, so you can work out the kinks prior to a huge kitchen job!
