Great Portable Fire Pit
Fire pit works great, storage bag rips easily so plan on getting somthing better if you need to transport it.

Unstable and Unsafe
Bought this a few months ago in anticipation for a trip to a campground where ground fires are not allowed. Product parts seem well built and feel sturdy. Setup is simple. The major flaw in this product is that the bowl is not secured to the frame in any way. I thought the weight of the wood would be enough to keep the bowl in the base. It is not. I was placing a piece of wood in the bowl and went to set it in one of the corners to then arrange it as I wanted. This caused the bowl to flip and fling the hot and burning embers. Snapped a picture to show what happened while my partner ran for water. Luckily it was a rainy day so the area was damp, and nobody was burned. But this could cause serious harm if it had occurred in a drier climate, or if the hot coals had hit someone. I wouldn't even recommend this as a grill as the pressure needed to get under a cooked on hamburger would likely tip the bowl as well.

Pit great, carry case sucks
The portable fire pit does the job but when the carrying case rips after the first use, that definitely impacts its portability. Have not used it since because I now have to find a case for it so that I don't get ash all over my car.

Exceeded my expectations... and also great for cooking directly on coals as well as grate!!!
For the price, this is a great firepit grill. I really like the design of the grill as it minimizes the amount of wood needed to be used to create a very hot bed of coals for cooking. The air to flame mixture regulated by the openings in the bottom of the firepit really make for a well-regulated flame. The grill fits in my smaller dishwasher after use and cleans up very well. Don't let the price fool you as you get a lot for your money and it makes you wonder why similar items are so expensive.
