BLAUPUNKT300W 8-Inch Amplified Subwoofer

I had a much more expensive under-the-seat subwoofer in my vehicle. Recently it wouldn't power on, so after checking all the wires were still correct, I concluded it simply died and replaced it with the Blaupunkt 300W. It arrived quickly and I was stunned at what a wonderful, little, beautiful (dare I say sexy?) subwoofer it is. My other amp is a hard plastic casing, but this was molded metal, nice and heavy, and ready to bump some bass. When I hooked it up, I found the sound was every bit as good as the more expensive amp I had been using. There simply is no reason not to get this little gem.

I was looking to round out the bass extension in my GTI's stock sound system and wanted something that was compact and easy to integrate. This Blaupunkt sub fit the bill. I gotta say for such a small and thin subwoofer, it packs quite the punch. It exceeded my expectations and I'm very happy with the sound quality and build quality. It's solid and heavy. I also like that the speaker is well protected from loose trunk cargo. I used to have a single Polk 12" in a sealed box powered by a 500 watt JL amp, this isn't that obviously, but if you manage your expecations this subwoofer will surely impress!

This subwoofer is nice and small and sounds surprisingly great for its size. It works really well for the entertainment system in my Class C RV where space is tight. When I received and wired up this unit it would not power up -- but wait, read on! I had them send me a replacement. It had the same problem. However, I did not know you had to also apply power to the blue "remote input" wire too (it says nothing about this in the manual). When I wired power to that tiny blue wire bingo, the power LED came on and everything worked.

I purchased this to install in a 2021 f150 with the standard 12” screen stereo (not BO system). I tapped into the rear door speakers by accessing the wiring hidden behind the b-pillar trim near the floor on each side of the truck. I also decided to use a line-out converter near the subwoofer rather than the high level inputs since the LOC provided a way to trigger the blue power on/off signal wire.This powered sub won’t rattle your windows, but is more than enough to provide good, balanced bass to the rest of the system. It feels well built and at under $100, you really can’t beat it. Highly recommend.

A day after I posted my initial review I spent more time tuning the sound and I also decreased the output of the LC2i to about 1/4 turn. This little powered sub is sounding super clean and really fills in the music. I’m impressed!2019 Ford F-150 owners: This fits perfectly under the drivers side seat, almost like it was designed by Ford. It will also fit easily behind the seat but I preferred to place it under the seat and use the back for storage. When tuned it sounds much better than the factory 8" crap-woofer.Product review. You MUST know how to tune the bass on this device and, of course, each persons tuning will be subjective. I used an LC2i and spliced to the existing B&O factory subwoofer system. I kept all the Blaupunkt setting in the middle and the LC2i in the middle as well and factory reset the factory head unit to middle EQ. I plugged into the 'subwoofer out' setting on the LC2i. I hated the sound. It was muddy and clipped no matter the setting. Then I switched to the main output of the LC2i, left the LCI2 settings on 1/2 and tuned the amp. It started coming in nice and clean and complementing the music, everything from A-HA and Brad Paisley to Halestorm and Five Finger Death Punch. You must understand this is not a boom-boom subwoofer that rattles everything but a bass device which can give a substantial low end kick and if tuned right, cover the bass spectrum up to 250hz. I have the 'crossover' set to about 5/8 of the way with the 'bass boost' all the way off and the 'gain' probably 1/3. The LC2i is set (L to R) middle, middle, off. It over powers the music but it sounds good and doesn't clip. Just use your amp volume knob to adjust the bass output and enjoy.

I bought this for my 02 Suby Forester. The factory radio died so pulled the stock under driver seat sub and replaced it with this unit. Easy install, cables are long and the sound is just right.That being said you not going to rattle the trunk, wake the neighbors or impress anyone outside the car. In the car you get the low end the stock speakers don't deliver.

Did not work. Checked all wiring and everything was correct. Took me 3 hours to troubleshoot and turn out unit itself is not working. Hopefully replacement will.

I bought the speaker and I was impressed with weight of the quality.It really seems like it was great and it sounded awesome.But I only had it hooked up for about a week and a just stopped working.The speaker was shot. I tried to return it but being as I didn't hook it up as soon as I got it I ran past 30 days. I should have paid the seventeen dollars for the longer warranty,
