It's light, it's durable and it hangs off the rear of my off road eBike. No worries about aluminum or lead solder this is all stainless. The portable military 1qt stove fits perfectly with this canteen and cup.

The canteen is durable, the cover does a good job at insulating it, and the cup is great. This is actually better than the plastic ones we used during my time in the Army, because the stainless steel doesn’t provide places for bacteria and mold to grow.

This stainless steel canteen is great and would rate 5 stars except for the inferior plastic cap that came with it.The screw-on cap came screwed on so tight on the canteen that I could not unscrew it with my bare hands nor with a lid opening tool, even after running it under hot water and banging it on the edge of the counter. I was finally able to remove the cap using a monkey wrench, but the cap cracked in that removal process. As a result, the cracked cap leaked.According to other reviews, several other customers have had similar problems with the cap. The manufacturer could easily remedy the problem by leaving the cap off the canteen and dangling from the chain that attaches it to the canteen when they ship out the canteen instead of screwing the cap on so tight that the customer cannot unscrew it without cracking it. Since the canteen is shipped empty, the cap does not need to be screwed on for shipping.Rather than go through the hassle of returning the canteen, I bought a tapered bottle stopper made of food grade silicone surrounding a stainless steel core to replace the cap (see photo). This worked wonderfully to provide a leak-free seal, and it is quicker and easier to remove and put back on than the screw-on cap.

It was convenient to take if you don't want to drink from a plastic bottle. Plastic cap somehow 1/4 of it broke off and disappeared, or else maybe it could have been glued, but to me, it should not have broken off anyway, especially if it would have been made from metal or a stronger material? So, beware of it if you buy this one, as it may not hold up for long.

Bought 3 for myself and my boys. The cover does a great job insulating the canteen and keeping it fairly cool for a good amount of time. Plus the cup is just big enough to boil water for something easy like a pack of ramen in a pinch.

Good price just what I needed..

The cap is so tight I can’t get it off. Sending back and getting another brand.Question to manufacture-why not ship with loose cap.
