First tried "Adoric Baby Safety Magnetic Cabinet Locks ." Don't quite get all the rave reviews for it, but I don't share their opinion or experience. Makes me think perhaps mine was a lemon (?) But then again, I doubt it. Came in a simple box packaging. Went and set it up and found that the retractable hook was so stiff that no matter how the magnet was applied it just wouldn't unhook. Now, maybe it was just one latch that had this problem but another seemed to show similar stiffness.Rather than try all of them I chose to return it all for a refund.I now went back on Amazon to buy this brand: DIKI Hidden Magnetic Baby Safety Locks. Comes with one less key, but it worked like a charm. And I will note the key felt heavier (thus a bigger magnet) than the one I returned. Only downside was that it came with just 1 key. But @9.99 who am I to complain.The hooks work seamlessly when you apply the magnetic key. And overall, I'm very satisfied with this product. I wish they had a 2nd option with an extra key, but still a definite recommend.

if you have thicker cabinet doors, these will not work, they are not wide enough. my kitchen is 25 years old, but it was custom, not box cabinets, the mechanism is not long enough to latch.
