Excellent product and great value for money.
This is a great product! I’ve been using graded sandpaper, followed by polishing compound and a leather strop up to now for chisel and plane sharpening, but this is so much more effective and gives a far better finish. The stone itself has 400 and 1000 grit, and gives a really shiny and sharp finish. So far it is also hard enough that you won’t easily wear a trench in it while sharpening, so won’t need to reflatten it too often either. I am very pleased with the product and the price paid was very fair for the quality. The rubber ‘holder’ is grippy enough to stick to the workbench without slipping, so it’s really easy to use without needing to clamp it down. Cannot fault this product!

Perfect for knife sharpening newbie
It is my first time sharpening my knives, and I was successful with this. They provide rubber grips to protect the stones during delivery, and to hold during sharpening. They also put some extra bubble caps to protect the stone. Thanks for that!

I enjoyed it as a total amateur
I have never used a wetstone before. Despite this I have enjoyed learning how to sharpen my kitchen knives.I have given 4 a sharpen, just following some youtube instructions and they are defenately sharper. I need practice but the stone does seem to work. The stone is smaller than I imagined it would be (lengthwise). But big enough for a starter stone. The rubber base does move around in the pan I've used as a water basin during sharpening. So i'll be trying different bases to put it in.But to my unscilled eyes it is flat, it works and there is a noticeble grit difference between the two grit levels. I'm happy with my first wetstone and I think I'll keep on sharpening my knives using it, as it is relaxing and oddly satisfying. Might add on a higher grit stone, like 4-8 000 for finishing.
