This made 100% difference in my sourdough bread!!!
This is well made, came very quickly and had made all the difference in the world for my sourdough bread. I highly recommend this!

Disappointing
I have been baking rustic no knead bread since the pandemic. I have not had a failed loaf (boule). I bought Sassafras’s loaf baked and it makes a beautiful loaf with great texture and a crackly crust. I bought this cloche so I could achieve similar result with larger boule. It was a disaster. It did not do the oven rise so it was basically flat and the crust was smooth, not crackled or crunchy. I cannot find any information specific to this type cloche to help me figure out why it turned out this way, but I hesitate to waste too many ingredients on failed loaves.

DEFECTIVE Product! don't BUY!!!
The crack goes right through to the back. I don't know when this happened. I've used this about 5 times in under a year. I've been careful cleaning it with oil and storing it on it's own shelf in my pantry. I spent a lot of money on something that should last for YEARS, This product is cheap and not made well at all. I only used a 450 to 475 degree oven. I am very dissapointed and will fight to get my money back!!

It makes great bread
I make regular and artisan bread. Sassafras clay bakers take it up a few notches. The crust is the best. Every bread baker should have one. I have the oblong shape and the bell shape.
