Liked It
Not so much humor in this story as many of the other stories from this author but liked it. Mostly a sweet love story between two different people who proved opposites do attract

Really Abrupt Ending!
Ms. Hughes did not have an actual ending to the story...maybe she could have ended with the H and h married and lived happily ever after. This needed more than she left us with.

Sweet and heartwarming! <3
Kane had hoped for a new chance at life the moment he stepped into the grocery store. He finds himself falling for Melanie Abercrombie, the dainty lady whose letters have been his inspiration all these years he had been in prison. And when he found out he was due for a release, he went on to see her first.Their first encounter got off to a bad start, but as familiarity got most of them, Kane ends up crashing over the Abercrombie household where most of the story unfolds. While living together, the undeniable attraction they have for each other sparks talks around town - how could the prim and proper, miss goody, Melanie get herself involved with an ex-convict?As their feelings for each other start to grow even stronger, Melanie's fears of abandonment creeps in and Kane is one sweet guy to reassure her he'll always be there for her, proving his worth every step of the way.*I don't want to spoil too much so you can go ahead and read it!* :)Miss Goody Two-Shoes is a heartwarming, funny, and sweet tale of forgiveness, acceptance, and life's second chances. It also lets us see the stereotypes about ex-cons that, in my opinion, shouldn't be the judge of their true nature. It was a swift read and when I got to the end, I wanted to read more! Once again, Charlotte Hughes delights us with a story that will tug our heartstrings. Personally, Kane is a really great guy and he has a way with words! Haha! Of course, any girl would love to hear what he tells Mel, I don't blame her for falling hard for him.

Such A Sweet Story
Great storyline and you just knew it was going to turn out great. Mel wasn’t a goody two shoes as much as she was kinder to others than she was to herself. I’m glad she learned in the end!

The good, the bad, and the far from ugly
Mel has been writing to a man in prison for the past year. She doesn't expect to ever meet him since he has been convicted of murder and is sentenced to life without parole. She has never received a letter back but continues in what she considers a safe endeavour, hoping to make a positive difference in his life. Kade has been released after the real murderer confesses and DNA backs up his innocence. It's been three years and the only thing he can think about is finding the woman who kept him sane with her encouraging letters. He never imagined she would assume he has escaped. The premise is clever. Unfortunately the non-communication, miscommunication, anger and subsequent stomping away got old. There are a couple of sex scenes. Not erotica, but one scene is definitely in the R category. The book is well edited and is complete without hooks or cliffhanger. Church is mentioned but no deity, conviction, sin, salvation, or lifestyle change. It is presented more like a social club that meets once a week. If what I have described sounds like your kind of story, go for it. It just didn't do it for me.

Abrupt ending!!
I really enjoyed the story and characters that is until it came to what seemed was an abrupt end!! So, I am sitting here wondering if there is a second book to come or if that is the way it ends. Hmmm...I guess I will have to send a quickie message to Charlotte and ask!

Good.
I loved the build up but the ending was sudden and kind of anticlimactic. Itckind of felt like it ended in the middle.
