Q: Where are these manufactured?

These were made in the cheapest place that could exist. I should have stolen these from behind a grocery store because the crates from behind a grocery story have some character. They've lived a life. These things are the equivalent of the meat you buy at walmart that was mistreated so badly that you can taste their nightmares from all throughout their miserable lives.

Q: I'm going to purchase a deep freezer and woud like to know if these crates would hold up in a freezer?

That is what I use mine for. I have 6 of them in my chest freezer and they are holding up fine.

Q: Are the bottoms attached to the sides or could fall out from a heavy load?

The bottom and sides are all one unit and very sturdy. I have mine in my chest freezer full of all sorts of heavy things with no problem. They stack nicely (so long as you don't have food above the rim) and will slide over if one is removed from the line. My brother loved mine and got some for his chest freezer.

Q: what is the weight capacity

Not exactly sure, it is as solid as a milk crate- very heavy duty. Can’t think off hand what you could fill it with - except maybe lead - that would cause it to fail!
