Anchor Hocking Penny Candy Jar 1 Gallon Glass Jar with Lid, Set of 2 Jars

These work perfect for our store to store our shower steamers. They look great on the shelf and are a great buy. We'll built and very well packaged. Worth the buy.

I bought 5 of these and they do come in doubles. ➡They're larger than I thought which is really awesome! ➡I plan to buy some food grade silicone to make some "oogoo" (I searched on YouTube "how to make airtight seal on glass containers" and found the video about oogoo. 🙌 yay YouTube!💕😄👍) ↪An airtight seal is SO important to me because I plan to put my smoothie mixture into these containers and I want to buy enough to have some ready for at least 1 month at a time. ➡These containers do look very modern and chic. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 🌟 UPDATE 🌟 UPDATE 🌟 UPDATE 🌟 UPDATE 🌟 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ➡Oogoo no good. I made a huge mess 😫 and it smelled like chemical fumes of vinegar in my home... 😓 It was hellish trying to clean my hands from that too... Lesson learned!😅 ➡I changed from using silicon sealant to using silicon putty. I'm extremely happy with the result!!! You can see it in the picture! ▶After you put the putty on and it seals, the first few reopens afterwards, it sort of seals back up again because it's still a bit tacky. But that too eventually gets fixed with reopenings. ✏I bought the 2 pack of silicon putty and it took both of those packages to make the seals on all 10 jars! 😯 None left over.😢 ✏I highly recommend mixing only 1/2 of each yellow & white together at any given moment because this stuff DOES set REALLY FAST. ↪I did one whole set, at one time and almost did not make it to finish molding it over the first 5 jars! 😫 I was really freaking out!😅😆 ↪I mixed up only 1/2 of the blend in one set after that. Rolled it out into long 6 inch snakes, took off the lid and put it around the outside mouth of the jar. Then I placed the lid back on and rolled out another snake enough to bring the seal up higher on the lid and make sure that the putty was fully encasing the lid, and that it was high enough all the way around (at least 1/2 way up the lid!) ✏VERY HARD TO REMOVE FROM THE GLASS THOUGH!😰😫... ...😅 I only know because I accidentally broke one of the glass jars and I wanted to save the lid and the seal for another jar. (My aunt said she'd buy one at a thrift store for me.😉👍) But I'm not using it the way it was designed for, so I didn't take any stars away from the product.😅👍 I'm so very pleased with these results!!!😍💕💕💕 Just take a look for yourself!

These were exactly what I was looking for to store snacks for easy access and see when it's time to refill. Price was very good for 2 jars in this package. Note that they are not for airtight storage, the lid lifts off easily and does not screw on. Something I noticed is that the product description notes that they are made in USA, but I think it's just the glass jar, which is thick and of good quality as would be expected from Anchor Hocking. The lid has a sticker that says Made in China and feels a little flimsy, but it's just a cover. These containers take me back to my childhood days visiting my grandparents' neighborhood market and they sold penny candies in these jars. Something old is new again :)

FINALLY, I found a quality product without worry of a faulty lid. Bugs are always a concern, but this canister seals tight. It's heavy glass and will stand up to MOST kitchen activities. Yes, it can break or shatter but normal use should have no issues. Anchor Hocking is a well-known brand and I'm very pleased.

Love these! I didn't care about an airtight seal but I did want lids that stay on. They have a silicone seal that keeps it tight but not so tight its not easy to open. The color is beautiful, the size is great. Its used to keep candies right now but it could be used for so much more. The ad shows they are returned frequently so I was hesitant to buy them but I'm so glad I did!

Really fresh looking. Large enough to fit an entire 32 oz bag of coffee. Lid is handwash only. I love them.

This candy jar/canister is just perfect for a mini miniature humidity loving orchid and companion mini butterwort. And they line up nicely on my kitchen counter under a grow light strip. Well made, sturdy, well packaged for shipping. I have a happily growing collection developing.

The lid was very loose and looked like it was of cheap material, very strange that the lid was indicated to be made in China even though the item is claimed to be made in USA. Had to put some soundproof foam to fill the gap between the jar mouth and the lid so it would be more secure. Good to use as a chinchilla dust bathhouse but not ideal for storing food since the lid isn't compatible.
