Whenever I'm out-and-about, I'm frequently performing maintenance on my face to clear it of anything unsightly (eyelashes, debris, etc.). This mirror's COMPACT size is perfect and NEVER feels uncomfortable in my pocket. I'm able to perform various activities without the mirror feeling like it's poking at my leg or getting in the way.The 2 ZOOM levels make it perfect to get a CLOSER look at parts of my face needing touch-up (2x zoom) or for getting an OVERALL look for full context (1x zoom).The material lining the outer sides of the unit isn't decorative, but simple enough that it doesn't draw attention to it each time I use it (which is preferable to my tastes anyway). Its softness also adds to the comfort of keeping it in my pocket.The hinge is STABLE enough that it doesn't feel like a chore opening it up and isn't so light that it feels cheap either. It has a MODERATE weight to it which, alone, is heavy enough to open and close the mirror (if held at the right angles), but is never an issue in my daily routine.The only DOWNSIDE I see here is that the metal TRIMS surrounding the mirrors make contact when closed, so there is some minor scuffing where they meet. The UPSIDE though is that the MIRRORS themselves are PROTECTED and never make contact. The scuffs don't bother me since I'm more interested in the mirrors themselves. If you want to minimize scuffing, then placing a layer of SOFT fabric in-between the mirrors when CLOSING it might help.Overall, I'm quite SATISFIED with this purchase and heavily RECOMMEND this to others. Minor trim scuffing aside, the unit's COMPACT size and design make this a GREAT BUY.

I was pleasantly surprised when this mirror arrived. It's the size I wanted for my (male) pocket. It's very thin and weighs almost nothing. The mirror itself has no optical flaws. The clasp to close it is firm - the mirror stays closed. The first time I went to open it, I had a bit of trouble seeing the black clasp against the black finish. By the second time, this was no longer a problem.The one potential drawback is that the corners are a true 90 degrees with no rounding. After a month or so of use, I haven't come close to cutting myself - the risk I anticipate is to my pants pocket. Time will tell. For now, I give it four stars.

This mirror is of a good quality. It feels sturdy, not cheap and "plasticky." Features 2 different types of mirrors in the folding case; One is standard, one is a magnifying mirror, for up close detail.
