These artificial candles seem to be of good quality. They’re a thick plastic so they shouldn’t melt in the sun like wax LED candles. The only problem I had with these was in trying to open the battery compartment (they each take 3 AA’s). When I tried with the first one, I couldn’t get the cover to turn without feeling like it was going to break. When I finally was able to turn the cover, I found there was a thin rubber gasket underneath. I couldn’t see any reason they were necessary so I took them out, and without the gaskets they open and close easily. With the remote you can turn them on and off and choose flickering or not. They don’t have an automatic timer like some candles, so you have to turn them on every night but you can set the number of hours they stay on, and the remote makes it easy. They flicker nicely, and are definitely bright enough. Very happy with these!

The timer works great, and the brightness is good. I recommend using these outside, as they are “plastic-looking” up close (when compared to my other flameless candles). I put mine inside a lantern, and they look lovely. 4 stars.
