Saris CycleOps Magnetic Shifter for Indoor Bike Trainers

I've had a MAG trainer for a couple years. When I saw that this product could adjust the resistance while I was riding I decided to order it. I followed the directions as best I could as the directions are bush league at best. The product doesn't stay together so I emailed customer service about how to get it to stay together and I pointed them, repeatedly, to the specific picture in the instructions. They've never looked at the instructions as they repeatedly answered some other question (not asked). So now I have a piece of junk. Save your money and don't buy this.

This is a so-so shifter for a so-so trainer. It sort of works, after much frustration. Don’t bother with the instructions that come with the shifter - look up the instructions online and you’ll have much more success. But you also have to problem solve like it’s a high school science experiment, so be prepared.The shifter for me will go harder, but doesn’t shift to an easier “gear.” Upon shifting to something easier, if you pedal and wait for about a minute it will eventually get to the easier gear - it just takes a while to get there.Bottom line, I would only buy this if you’re looking for a marginally better experience and have low expectations.

Junk. Worked a few times but now doesn’t hold the different resistance levels. Automatically flips to the heaviest resistance. I could put my trainer at that level if I wanted it there. The point of this product is to be able to chan resistance from the handlebars and it doesn’t work for that.
