Exterior Ball-Head Mount for GoPro

This is THE GoPro mount for high speed things, if you have a place to screw in the spud. The entire mount is metal and locks down very solidly. This design is an improvement over the older Nflightcam, it's a little more user friendly for mounting and adjustments. Overall I'm very happy with this mount.

5*'s for function, 3*'s for construction.Pros: It functions / positions well and produces excellent vibration-free video. Camera is held securely.Cons: Corrodes very easilyI mounted this on my wingtip. I live in an area which sees daily moisture and hangar waiting list movement is measured on geological time scale. Unfortunately, the mount is not made out of stainless and so the ball and screws have corroded to the point where the mount sticks when trying to adjust it. It looks fugly. Although it is not difficult to remove the mount after a flight, I want to avoid putting excessive wear on the captive nut / nut plate on the wing. Hence leaving it attached.When I get around to replacing my mount, I'm going to try dipping it in Aeroshell W100 + camguard to see if that can slow down or prevent the corrosion.

Works great, held the camera rock steady at 280 knots.

This mount works great. Was easy to install. Will probably purchase another one in the near future.

Very good mount, quality, size, use, for GoPro or any camera. 4 star only for the price is too expensive.

This is the aircraft camera mount I have been looking for. Hands down the best. Don't even try using a suction cup mount. I've flown over 160 kts, without any movement. Also I really like the ability to leave the small mount on the wing when the camera is not in use.

Perfect for getting that difficult angle. I only gave 4 stars due to the fact that it only came with one screw. For this price, it should come with a selection of screws to use...heck they are about .35 cents at the hardware store. With only one included, it is pretty much guaranteed you will need to make a trip to the store to make it work.
