Fabulous camera in every sense.
I am a amateur photographer who has tried different cameras/brands in his life. This is by far the best one in every dimension. The JPEG engine is superior and produces stunning photos with bright colors. Most of them do not require post-processing which is good for a photographer like me who does not have the time to process every photograph taken. The CONS are:1. Heavy and bulky in comparison to other cameras,2. The automatic exposure control is not the best and forces you to manually adjust exposure when the sun is too bright (e.g. at noon) or when there is not enough light (e.g. overcast days).3. It takes a lot of time to fully learn how to control the camera and its multiple adjustments. Too many options make it difficult to set it up easily.Having said that, I love it and totally recommend it to anyone who would like to have a travel camera that takes stunning pictures and excellent videos without the need of post processing (please see attached picture).

This product includes the awe factor
I like everything about the camera. They haven't skimped in any area. One inch sensor, 20+ megapixels, 400mm zoom (16 times magnification, approx), workmanship, features galore. This camera can take stunningly clear, deep and wow pics of at least birds, flowers, grasses, trees, bees, ants... etc. When you get it just right, this unit will deliver awesome pictures of everyday things. I haven't tried it on landscapes, very low light, night city etc., but will bet dollars to doughnuts that it will excel even in those challenging areas of photography. For a bridge camera, it has far outstripped the crowd in wow, features and portability. I think this camera easily would rate among the very top, cream of the crop bridge cameras on the market today. Oddly, I think I must have ripped off the sellers at $1000 for this item.

Pretty damn good.
After my experience with this camera I have decided to save up for an RX10 IV. I mistakenly bought a grey market camera (if it's not sold by Amazon.com or Amazon.ca it's probably grey market) and thankfully? it looked like somalians played soccer with the box, giving me a valid excuse to return it.My experience with picture softness and accurate focusing was less than spectacular with this camera. I'm not sure if that was because it was kicked, or the shipping with the horrible job that was done packing it, but I often had to take 20+ photos to get one that was reasonable for focus. Video was better, but the image stabilization honestly wasn't stunning either and the autofocus seemed to hunt quite a bit, and when lost would take 5 seconds to refocus.I was expecting a lot out of the Leica branded lens, but they're just licensed by Leica. I've read a lot of reviews about softness around the edges and many variations from camera to camera when it comes to Panasonic. I'm hoping the RX10 IV will be better, although I was extremely happy with a lot of the footage I got with this camera with my limited experience. If it wasn't grey market and the box wasn't smashed so savagely I probably wouldn't have even started looking at the RX10 line since they're twice the price.
