Works great for me as both an antiperspirant and deodorant. I don’t sweat under my arms that much since I had laser hair removal a few years back but I moved to Florida and the heat and humidity will make everyone sweat at some point. I also work outside in construction. Once applied its long lasting, the scent stays until you shower basically. And I think heat kind of activates the scent, so if you are getting hot it will smell more, it’s also nicely moisturizing. I am going through the stick pretty fast though. It will also transfer to your clothes when you pull them over your head if you’re not careful or don’t wait a bit for it to get soaked into the skin. It’s not staining or caking up the arm pit of any of my clothing or sides if my bra though.

After receiving this deodorant two days ago and trying it, I feel I need to leave a feedback.First, let me mention that I have extremely sensitive skin. It breaks out from seemingly anything. So I was cautious trying this new deodorant. I applied it only on left armpit, leaving right as control area.See my images: 1. Before; I applied very thin layer.2. 6 hrs later, no irritation. Took a shower, reapplied thicker layer.3. 24 hrs later, still no irritation. Yay, safe to use!Consistency of deodorant - thick and creamy, absorbs by skin well, no sticky or greasy feeling.Scent - sweet and pleasant, long-lasting - for me over 24 hrs.Odor and sweat control - excellent. I tried many aluminum-free deodorants, and they do not perform as well as traditional ones in terms of controlling sweat and odor. Rio Deo is clearly a winner!

I bought this because I LOVE the cheirosa '62 scent that is pretty much their signature scent made popular from their Bum Bum cream. When I saw that this didn't have baking soda in it (since I'm pretty sure the skin's natural pH is acidic and that having baking soda in aluminum-free deodorant can cause skin irritation, at least for me) I wanted to try this.The good news is that the scent is the same cheirosa '62 scent and smells heavenly. I also never experienced any irritation when using this, which is a first for aluminum-free deodorant for me.Now, I understand that this is not an anti-perspirant, as it does not have the aluminum salts that are generally used to stop the sweat glands from producing sweat, so the fact that I would sweat while wearing this did not surprise or both me. What I didn't love is that my initial heavenly scent would mix with my sweat and turn into a ...not-so heavenly scent, especially when exercising.If I wasn't really active, the deodorant scent would last longer, ~6-8 hours, but would start to change into the not-so heavenly scent, especially with activity.Overall, I liked it, since I really do like the scent and I liked that it never caused me any irritation. But, given the price point and it's mediocre longevity of actually deodorizing, I don't know if I would repurchase it, maybe if it was on sale. I think I'll stick to my anti-perspirants for now.

I’ve been using natural deodorant for about 10 years. I’ve always been sweaty. I’ve tried everything from prescription strength to most deodorants on the market. I’ve definitely worked my way through the natural deodorants on the market. I have been using the salt one and it works for a couple hours. Many other deodorants I have tried break my skin down, they claim from sweat but since I sweat constantly that can’t be it. Native deodorant was one of my favorites but my skin didn’t like the baking soda or the baking soda free. So when I saw another natural deodorant, I was skeptical. I love love love bum bum cream so I decided to give it a go. So far, I no longer smell like a trash heap after 14 minutes and it lasts. I’ve been wearing for a week and even after 24 hours since application, it was still working. Also, it really has stopped my sweaty reality. I’m simply delighted.

If you like long reviews, this will be the one for you.The scent of this is amazing. I had never used or smelled any products from this brand before purchasing, and I wasn’t too sure if I’d like it. I do consider this scent to be long lasting. Currently, I’ve had it on for over 12 hours and I can still smell it. It’s not going to be strong enough to act as a perfume for the day, but it might interfere with the scent of your perfume for an hour or two after application if you have on a tank top or dress. To those who hate fragrance, this is NOT the product you’re looking for.The consistency is interesting - kind of like a thick hair pomade. I was expecting it to be slick (think Kopari, Dove Zero Aluminum or the Old Spice blue gel deodorants) due to the coconut oil. I was pleased to find it wasn’t. I was not pleased at all with coconut oil being an ingredient due to its comedogenic properties. However, I have not had any issues yet. I see a lot of people mentioning only needing to use a tiny bit. This is not the case for me. I probably use 5 light swipes of this stuff under each arm in order to get adequate protection. Keep in mind, though, that I struggle with most deodorants. If it’s usually smooth sailing for you, you could probably use less.I don’t find that this lasts all day. Sometimes it will last through a workout, and sometimes it won’t (more often not). There has never been a day I’ve worn this where I’ve truly smelled bad, though. That’s more than I can say for most aluminum-free deodorants I have tried. Overall, this is my second favorite one I’ve ever tried. In total, I believe I’ve tried around 6 aluminum free deodorants thus far.However, I won’t be repurchasing. The price for the amount of product and lacking longevity is just not reasonable - I would rather spend the money on the body spray in this scent or another one of their products. I think the price point is very high for a deodorant, and it doesn’t live up to the price point.One other thing to keep in mind - this gets on EVERYTHING. I am no stranger to stick deodorants leaving white marks - it’s what they do. I’m very careful about getting dressed/changing/when I apply the deodorant to avoid this, but it hardly helps. The white marks wash out, but it’s annoyingly more frequent than with any other deodorant I’ve worn. I also experience a lot of pilling with this deodorant, but maybe that’s just solely because I’m applying more than they recommend.
