Beautiful cutting boards!
The media could not be loaded. This is the most beautiful cutting board I've ever had. The end grain style is just so stunning. The 12x12" size is perfect for almost everything and the 1" depth gives it a nice weight without being so heavy I need two hands to pick it up. I used John Taylor butcher block conditioner on it right out of the package. I put a lot of it on and let it sit overnight. It soaked pretty much all of it up by morning. I'll reapply when it starts to get dry again. I'm careful not to leave it sitting in the sink or run it through the dishwasher. You can easily make your board warp or break by leaving it wet too long. Best to just wash and dry by hand.I would buy this again as a matter of fact I'm thinking of getting a acadia one in a different size. For the price I don't think you'll find better. So I got a 16x16 one also and it is fantastic. I really love the size and I end up using it more than I thought I would. The coloring is a bit lighter and the woodgrain looks little different from my 12x12 but that is not surprising since every piece of wood is unique. I cannot recommend these square boards enough. I think the 1" thickness is perfect. The thicker ones are beautiful no doubt but they are also much heavier. I'd rather be able to maneuver it easily.

Easy to use and clean
The cutting boards look great. Easy to clean. Love the channels. They are a bit heavy

Bought one, then bought another. These are great.
Excellent value. Attractive. Durable. Well made. Holds up great if you know how to care for it.

Bad quality control. Received 2 boards and both are cracked
I liked the design of the cutting board but the quality control is bad. I ordered one and it arrived with a crack (See first picture). So I ordered a replacement and the second board was even worse. The second board had cracks and scratches everywhere. Definitely not worth the money. I don't think it will hold up very long.

Very poorly made, looks a mess
Broke easily, looks a mess, not what I'd expect from an established brand

Farberware end grain acacia wood cutting board
This Farberware cutting board is made of acacia wood. I prefer wooden cutting boards over plastic or glass ones, since glass will dull knives and plastic just shows cut marks too easily.Acacia wood is relatively inexpensive, but the hardness can really vary and it can be as hard as bamboo knives, which will dull your knife edges faster than a maple end grain board. On the plus side, acacia wood is usually sustainably sourced and has good rot resistance. I think maple, beech and walnut woods are superior for cutting boards, though, if you want to splurge.

smooth surface, nice to cut on
I love the smoothness of the surface. It's so easy to cut on this. Seems Very high quality. It's a little big for daily use, unless you have a big family and cut large things often. The juice grooves are not wide enough in my opinion. the juice just rolled over the groove and off the side, so if you don't use it for juicy stuff, it's ok.I feel this cutting board is too heavy and cumbersome for my own regular daily needs, but I will keep it in the pantry for the occasional event when I need to cut something larger, like a watermelon or pork loin.I do like the cut out handles and the surface is really nice. After cutting on apple up, I noticed the cuts in the wood. This normal for this type of cutting board, but be sure you wash them well when using with meat.

Needed oil
This board was very dry when received. I put some orange oil on it and WOW, quite beautiful grain and appearance. Very much like the board but does need some oil on it before use.
