ZINUS Brandi Quick Lock Twin Day Bed frame with Steel Slat Support

I was looking for a simple day bed for my son who will be staying with me from time to time, and I found this product. The reviews were very good and it is affordable. It came quickly and I am so impressed with the high quality of the bed and ingenuity of its design. It is very easy to assemble and comes with a variety of great tools to use! It is attractive and, overall, perfect for what I need. I appreciate the letter from the company and love the little note cards that come with the product; these all express what feel like sincere joy and enthusiasm from Zinus around the work it does. I ordered this bed frame and I'm reviewing it before I actually receive it. The reason for this early review is that I've been researching sturdy daybeds for several weeks already. I wanted one that is sturdy, something that would do double duty as a sofa and a guest bed. This morning I called the Zinus company and specifically asked the maximum amount of weight this bed frame can hold. You'll note that there are 14 steel bars approximately 5 inches apart over the 75 inch length of the bed and there are six legs. That alone should give an indication that this frame will hold a reasonable amount of weight. A representative of the Zinus company stated that it will hold a maximum of 500 pounds less the weight of a good mattress. I don't know anyone in my group of friends who weighs anywhere near say 450 pounds, allowing 50 pounds for a good mattress, so I felt safe in ordering this bed frame. I will update my review once I receive the bed frame and have an appropriate, good quality mattress on it. The other frames I looked at, because they were used as part of a trundle bed arrangement, had four legs rather than six, which generally made them incapable of supporting a heavier weight person. I had wanted a pop-up trundle bed to provide additional sleeping space for visitors but following my research I don't feel that the pop-up trundle is safe for heavier, older adults. The ones I've seen or read about It seem to have a weight limit of about 200 lbs without a mattress. For children, I wouldn't hesitate using a pop-up but there are no small children at this time in my family for whom I will provide sleeping space. I'm thrilled to have found this sturdy Zinus Day Bed Frame. I hope it lives up to my expectations. I'll let you know. Oct 2nd: The daybed frame arrived today. It was easy to put together and it is sturdy!! I like it a lot. I ordered a good, firm mattress for it from a local furniture store in my area, one that will stand up to the daybed being used as a sofa as well as a bed. I don't think you can go wrong with this product. All the tools you need are included with it plus a couple of extra clips that lock the cross bars into place in case you should damage on during assembly.

This is not a paid review, but the product still deserves 5 stars. We purchased this for our daughter for her "big girl bed". Normally either of us can put together the items with minimal hair pulling, we even put together an ikea bed and drawers without killing each other. That being said, my fiance was SHOCKED at how simple this was to put together. She was able to do it in 15min, by herself, with NO frustration.The instructions are pictures, but are very clear. Whoever wrote these instructions needs to write all furniture instructions. The pieces are "numbered" and the numbers coincide with the numbers in the pictures. You don't need multiple sets of hands to get it to stand together. The tools are provided to you, even a little alan wrench ratchet! The little locking mechanisms for the slats are great too and were literally a snap to put together.The bed itself isn't very heavy and holds the twin that its recommended nicely. However, if you purchase the recommended one, know that its thinner than expected and isn't a snug fit to the frame. It works for us, but if you're expecting a snug fit it doesn't do that. The one that was recommended to us (through that amazon bundle option) was the LINENSPA Premium Smooth Fabric Mattress Protector - 100% Waterproof - Hypoallergenic - Top Protection Only - Vinyl Free - Twin.It's high enough off the ground you could even put some drawers or storage pieces underneath. If you're so inclined, you can also turn it so the back part of the frame acts as a "rail" for your child if you push the open part against the wall... but you'd have to help them in/out because the "rail" does go the full length of the bed.Overall this was a great purchase for the value and did I mention how easy it was to put together?

I purchased this for holiday company in a spare room. It was fairly easy to put together by myself. I'm not sure of the durability due to all the plastic pieces that join the slats to the frame, even though they were quick to assemble. I would have preferred actual metal screws. However, this appeared to me to be one of the sturdier affordable frames due to the middle support legs. The mattress I purchased to accompany this was the Linenspa 8 inch memory foam/innerspring and they work just fine together. It sits high enough off the floor to be comfortable for a person to get in/out, but low enough that my dogs love to jump up on it as well! I used a twin comforter set on it rather than buying a more expensive daybed set for bedding. I would recommend this for a child or for an occasional guest, but not for heavy daily use.

This daybed frame was perfect, easy to put together, and very sturdy. It blends in well with my decor and can function as a full-time bed, or a seating daybed. It was definitely better than I expected. I definitely recommend this. It comes with a toolkit to assemble, which is very helpful. My husband tried to use his own drill to tighten the bolts. I would say, if you are going to do that, do it slowly, or finger start the bolts into the holes before drilling or you might strip the bolt. The toolkit does come with a few extra bolts and locking pieces. Overall, I love it. It's so much better and much cheaper than what I was seeing at local furniture stores.
