Q: Does it come with any cables?

Just DB15 Cable Assembly (for all the I/O), Adapters: BNC Female to RMC Male / BNC Female to XLR Female and USB Cable to connect it into your computer for System Plug-in Mode

Q: does this come with a power supply?

Yes, it needs power supply to work and it comes with one that can be connected to any power outlet from 110v to 220v + a USB cable to connect it with your computer but only for data transfer, the USB can’t be used for powering the device.

Q: What, if anything, would this do if you were trying to work to produce Atmos 5.1 (like maybe 5.1.4) content?

Hope this answers your question. This does not decode the audio it simply displays and shows the levels of the 5.1 channels in a very logical way. It also only displays 6 channels and wouldn’t show the additional “.4”. That said although not designed for Atmos, from a level point of view I feel it would still work. Remember with the Optical input it will only decode L&R. You need a separate decoder that can output Dolby 5.1 in AES-EBU pairs to input to the DB-15 connector. Can you explain your purpose with trying to view Atmos 5.1.4? For example, in my case we were using it to analyze Dolby 5.1 in a video stream from a broadcasters stream validating proper levels. The streams are from various streaming players.

Q: I'm using a scarlett 2i external sound card connected to my pc via usb. If i connect this unit to my pc via usb would it read the audio?

You need to understand that this unit works in two modes: one being a digital audio input which you can't use as Scarlett 2i2 has only analog outputs and the other is USB software/Plugin connection which uses a standalone connection that doesn't use you sound card at all, in this case you connect a USB cable from the CLARITY M to your computer, install the CLARITY M software on your computer and when using audio software such as Cubase, Pro Tools, Studio One, Ableton Live, Logic etc. you will see a new CLARITY M plugin in your plugin list which you can use to connect to this device from any channel in your DAW.
