Never EVER Tickle a Turkey: A Funny Rhyming, Read Aloud Picture Book

Silly
It was a little bent but that was just from it being shipped. No real damage. Well made. No rips. Bright colors. My kids loved it. Giggles and snickers through the whole story. Easy enough for my kindergartener to read. By the end they wanted to make that turkey their dinner.

A Funny Bedtime Story
A funny bedtime story that’s appropriate for young children. It’s in rhyming format without being cheesy. Also a good length for a bedtime story.

Two books in one?
Is this supposed to be two stories in one??? Or is it a mess up??

funny
It was a good read with my son before bedtime. Enjoyed the story, but needed to explain some of the vocabulary.

Not as Good as Other Books in Series
I didn't find this one to be as good as the other books in the series. It starts of the same with some fun reasons why attempting to tickle a turkey isn't a good idea, but then it basically implies turkeys a boring, complaining creatures. Where's the fun in that? Also doesn't branch out into other creatures with cautionary advice like the other books do after covering the cover/title animal.Never Ever Tickle a Turkey has been formatted to be read in landscape mode (holding your device horizontally), where it takes up the entire screen width wise, with a bit of white rectangle above and below. Words and pictures display together on the screen like a traditional picture book open to two pages. A lot of self published Kindle authors can't be bothered to format their work and it displays like a mess with bits of text on one page and an image on a small part of the screen on another, so I always like to take the time to point out when authors care about their reader's experience and their own work enough to take the time to format it.

Review by my 9 yr old:
I didn't like the turkey complaining so much but I liked the other parts. I would recommend it for other kids my age.

Not Funny
I bought this thinking the book would be cute for my five year old because what boy does not love tickling and farts. Well the part that they don’t show you is the book soon turned into this weird turkey hating propaganda. The turkey was said to be mean, cruel, complain and yell hatful things at kids. Like me my kid loves to read, we have hundreds of books, but with this book he actually asked me if the book was almost done because it freaked him out. I would give it away to Goodwill but I’m actually afraid I might traumatize some other kid so unfortunately this book is trash bound. I have never said this about a book but I highly do NOT RECOMMEND this book.

High level rhyming book.
This upper level elementary book, would be a good resource to teach rhyme. It is a higher level thinking book which would be good for inferencing and vocabulary developement.
