Great for 2 year olds
I bought this for my son's second birthday. He loves trains and is obsessed with learning his numbers and colors so I thought it would be the perfect gift. Overall it was a huge hit and he loves playing with it. He stacks the number blocks into one tall tower, pulls the cars around, and puts the figures in and out of the little carriage. He also just loves saying the numbers and colors when he stacks, or even just moving the pieces from one box to another one. His birthday was 2 weeks ago and he still plays with the duplo pretty much every day. I bought it slightly on sale ($16) but even full price for duplo I would say it is great value for money. You get a decent number of pieces for and the basic shapes allow for a lot of creativity. I've enjoyed building various structures when I play with my son. My son is mostly able to attach the bricks himself, every once in awhile he'll have trouble and get frustrated but not that often. I was looking for more duplo for Christmas but honestly I haven't found another set that seems to offer as much as this one does for under $20.

Best legos set for first learner tots
Legos are by far one of the best toys a kid could ever have. And this set is the perfect way to start playing with legos. The square blocks are the perfect ones to get introduced to. They are good to hold for those tiny hands and really easy to build and rebuild again and again. Once a child figures out and gets hold of how the legos work, its a plain sailing after that.First time I bought this when my toddler was 17 months. It took about a week to get used to his first legos. The following week onwards he has been enjoying it, his interest for it has always been continuing to grow. One big advantage is that different legos sets could be combined altogether and kept on adding to their stories. It indeed lets their imagination to flourish. My toddler received another celebration set, he combined them together and makes a lot of variation to his stories. It really helps in the development of creativity, fine motor skills, co-ordination and what not. It also makes a great gift, unlike many other toys this isn’t going to sit on the rack. I already bought two for gifting, and I can surely see myself buying more.Got one day delivery all the three times when I purchased. They are safe and sturdy too. Highly recommend!

Favorite toy - lasts through many developmental stages!
We started using this train Lego set at the minimum age - 18 months. Our 26-month-old still loves it and comes back to the toy. What frustrated (but also intrigued!) him at a young age -- the challenge of using fine motor skills to latch together different train cars and pull them without breaking -- is now his FAVORITE feature and he will pull the choo-choo throughout our apartment and re-assemble with larger construction and tow trucks we have. We build Lego bridges for the train to go under too.Great FIRST lego set!! Because our son loves this so much, I also gifted this as a 2-year-old birthday present to two of his friends, who gave the toy high marks with their toddlers as well!

What's not to love about LEGO?
I purchased this as a gift for my grandson's 2nd birthday. He loves it, and so does his 4 year old sister. LEGO appeals to kids' creative side and the grandkids make all kids of strange shapes that they insist are a drone, a robot, or a dinosaur - and in their view, they are! There's lots of play value to these DUPLO blocks and I'm happy that I bought them.

Masterpiece
If you have a kid who loves building then LEGO duplo is the best toy one could gift. We started with a small bus and an emergency vehicle and realized how hooked up my son was. We got him this train set and there is no other toy that can keep him enraged for almost close to an hour. I am talking about a toddler who is almost 2 .It is a very safe toy, absolutely kid friendly , and cannot go wrong . It kindles a lot of imaginative play. I would definitely suggest this to anybody who is having a toddler who is crazy about moving vehicles and loves to build
