Polish them - beautiful!
I am revising my previous bad review. I just needed to polish the coins! They are now my most beautiful coins. I will add updated photos when I get a chance. The three photos I took show the unpolished coins with other coins I have purchased. See how odd the color is on these dark gray metal coins? It's because of the black coating they use to make them look aged. It leaves a dull, dark film over the whole surface. After handling them quite a bit, I started to notice that some of them looked shinier, so I decided to try polishing it. OMG did that make a difference! It was a pain to polish 75 coins, but I used an old t-shirt and some dry Bon Ami (same stuff as Barkeeper's Friend). I suspect toothpaste or silver polish would also work. It took me a couple hours to do them all, but they are beautiful now. The other nice aspect is that I can tell the metal is solid all the way through, not plated, so they should hold up to all the handling they will get as game currency for Dungeons and Dragons. The more you handle them, the shinier they get.
