Good magnification, nice lighting
Nice loupe! I want it for machining. I set it up to see small tooling. I do not need to have my eye right on the loupe. I can find a position to look through the loupe from 8-10” away and see whats going on. Works good. For normal use it works good! The inch & metric scales are nice a crisp. My attached phot suffers from some clouding due to blowing dust off with my breath. Hence it’s a little foggier than it should be. However, it gives you a good look at the light and magnification. Great value for the money!

Great until you have to change the battery.
EDIT: I updated this review due to the excellent customer service of this company. There is a 12 month product warranty and they sent a replacement. You should still be cautious when changing the battery as the interior of this product is delicate. This loupe works well to see details on small photos; however, this is the second one I've purchased as the first broke when trying to change the batteries. I chalked it up to user error and purchased another one. This one just ran out of juice and changing the batteries is nearly impossible. When you can finally get a tool down in there to get the old button batteries out, the inner circle holding all the interior comes apart and pops out. This leaves wires and inner components exposed and unable to easily put back together. The good news is that I purchased in August and used often and the batteries lasted until January, but not a great tool for longevity use.

Batteries Could Last Longer
Its weakness is battery life but its a good tool.

This is not a magnifying glass. It is similar to a Jewelers Loupe.
Great for extreme closeup viewing. I used one for years while doing 35mm photography for reading negatives. Now I need one for reading the ID characters that are stamped into many of my pills/meds. I have several that look almost identical and need to make sure I ma not double dosing or subbing one med from another. I have what is called essential tremors and I need help sorting my 24 different pills into the daily dose containers. I recently found that the nurse who last sorted my pills for me doubled my dose of a dieuretic. I am not sure if she did it on purpose but it would have kept me running back and forth to the toilet every 5-10 minutes. My eyes arent so good and unless the light is very bright, and if my hands aren't shaking, and my bifocals are workin for me that day, I may be able to catch the outline of the numbers on the surface of the pill and verify the ID. I remembered how eeasy it was to get an extreme closeup lookin at negatived and decided a loupe would be a good thing to try. This is not a loupe you can hold in your eye like a lightweight monicle or old timey jewelers loupe, but it does the job that I needed done. AND it supplied its own light. That itself was the feature that sold me. As you can see in my images these are different animals. The Photographers loupe is a simple plastic, lightweight loupe. The Amazon loupe supplies its own light, and spaare batteries. The focal length is slightly adjustable. It also has a grid that can be seeen when viewing the small item...and has measuring lines so one can know the exact dimension of the item. More than i need but a welcome feature. If you need simple, search for a photographers loupe. If you like the one that does slightly more, opt for the adjustable jewelers loupe.

Fantastic at first, then lights out!
I tried to find a way to message the seller instead of a complete review for everyone to see. At first I loved this product, very easy to use and lights up great. After 5 days itt would no longer light up. The blue light or put light would still turn on, no great but still illuminated. However, the main lights no longer work whatsoever. If this magnifier was cheap I probably wouldn't have posted a review. This one cost way more than the two other use. I give it a 3 of 5 because it was great for a week. I sure would like to have another one of this style but I'm afraid to pay for a another.

Must have for coin collectors 😁
Great for coins! Gives you a wide field of view and you can see the entire coin without moving the lens around. Well made and doesn’t feel or look cheap. I toned down the lights with a little piece of paper tape because they are plenty bright. I’m very happy 😁

Can't Easily Change Short Lived Batteries
This is great for coin collectors and others needing a loupe. However, I bought one and loved it for about a month and then the batteries died. I found it frustrating and impossible to change the batteries. I thought the short battery life was a anomaly but I liked it so much I bought another. Same problem. Both to the trash.

Works great!
I use this for fiber optic work to check my ribbons as I am making them and occasionally while splicing. I was previously using like a Jewlers 3-1 but this is perfect. Bought one to put in each of the ribbon splicers as well as one in each ribbonizing tool. Anyone doing fiber optic work I highly recommend. My only knock would be the on/off button. I wish it were a switch to avoid it accidentally being turned on which has happened once already. Fortunately it comes with a spare set of batteries so I am good to go for a while since I have like 3 more spare sets. Replacing the batteries was also quite simple just twist off the top, remove the lens then slide the batteries out and voila good to go again.
