I bought item 2 months ago and did not get around to returning it, so it was nice of them to help me resolve this issue with product breaking so soon after using it.2 stars is highest I can give this, even with Amazon helping me with refund, considering the item broke in the first week of use.I had problems with durability. I've bought many caulk guns and use them almost daily. They do wear out or get too gummed up and have to be replaced eventually, but usually not in the first week.This broke on 2nd day of use but I waited too long to get to Amazon so it can not be returned. On the first day, it worked but it was already a problem, the small metal lever above the handle to unlock it was stiff and not easy to use. I had to press it hard to unlock the rod and this gets annoying after a while. I could not one handed use a thumb to press the unlock metal lever.On the second day it broke and became unusable. There is a long center rod, at the end of the rod is a round metal plate that is attached to it. When you press the handle the rod goes forward with the round metal plate pressing the bottom of caulk tube to get contents out.The round plate is made of thin metal with a small hole in the center. When I pressed the silicone tube on the second day, the plate slid back off the shaft/rod and now moves freely. This part is not welded to the rod, it is put on the end of the rod and then they have a nut that is screwed on tip to hold plate in place. If caulk is firm, the thin metal of the hole in the round plate presses open just a little bit more and then no longer is firmly attached on the end of the rod and the caulk gun can no longer be used. See photo.I would not buy this again. When the plate came loose off the rod, and the rod continued forward into the bottom of the caulk, it made a huge mess and got the product all over th caulk gun and was a mess to clean up.

I was looking for a new caulk gun where my previous one had the tube penetration pin on the handle which quickly made handling the gun a messy task. this one had it on the end far removed from the handle area, while using it I saw this gun had a pull mechanism that accurately controlled the flow of caulk. A small but nice feature is the hole on the top of the handle allowing one to attached a quick release clip for ladder work. A thoughtful / well designed tool.

Works well for tubes that don't have the metal ring at the end of the tube. Metal ringed tubes won't fit this tool. Frank H Handyman service owner

The poker is to short! This means you have to cut have the tip off of the tube of caulk to be able to puncture, which defeats the point that the manufacturers state why they don't include the tubing cutter integrated into the gun!

Ok caulking gun nothing special!! Over priced

GREAT company. Better than average caulk gun. Plunger cup could stand to be slightly stiffer.

Haven't used it yet, but it's what I'll need to do the job.

couldn't use a lot of household maintenance items without it!
