Get rid of annoying and often dangerous wasps, hornets or yellow jackets in your yard or garden with this Reusable Wasp and Yellow Jacket Trap. The special design with multiple entry tunnels lures yellow jackets and wasps inside with an irresistible mixture of water and sugar, and a secure retainment means it never lets pests out. The insect enters the trap through the holes on the bottom section, then flys up through the interior cone into the clear yellow catch chamber. Once inside the trap, they cannot fly out and subsequently die of dehydration. It is recommended the trap be placed at least 20 ft. away from an outdoor activity area, such as a patio or deck to keep your backyard activities sting-free. Traps are proven highly effective and are reusable. The effective wasp, hornet and yellow jacket lure recipe is described in the manual. Glued them and followed directions for bait exactly as recommended. I have caught only a few flys
Seldom do i write a review. The product leaks.I tried using it straight out of the box amd within an hour it had drained itself from the seam where the 2 halves come together. So directly out of the box the seam has to be glued.Glued them and followed directions for bait exactly as recommended. I have caught only a few flys. Moved it close to the wasps and still only caught a dismal amount of flies.doesnt work and will arrive "broken" (needing the seam sealed)

waste of money
Wasp Trap by Killer Green - Kills Wasps, Hornets and Yellow Jackets - 100% Guaranteed - 2 Pack I bought 2 packs of these traps and was very dissatisfied. 3 out of the 4 units had leaks in the seam. I tried to glue 2 of them and still had leaks so I decided to send the other 2 back and cut my losses. The units appear to be nice until you fill them and set them out. It takes maybe a half hour and they are empty. What I found was the seams where the two halves come together are all leaking. Total waste of money on these for sure. The attached pic shows the trap about 15 minutes after being set out..... the liquid leaking out on deck rail.

Would not recommend
BOTH of the traps in this box are defective, and do not hold any liquid. I am trying to rid myself of the wasps, but both of these traps leaked the liquid out, and all over the patio, making it a virtual sand bar for the wasps to just come up and enjoy some free food! I am returning these immediately, and spending more money on a better trap.

assuming I could manage an easy fix. Sure enough
After reading all of the reviews I expected these to leak, assuming I could manage an easy fix. Sure enough, they leak ... however, I ran a bead of glue, with a cheap hot glue gun, along the leaky seam and they work great now. They don't hold alot of liquid so I think duct tape would work fine too, if you are willing to do the fix they are worth the money.

Very shoddy construction. Leaks like a sieve.
Ok. So how does this work? Put solution in container, hang it up, and wait less than an hour for all the solution to leak out through the seam? Well, that's how it does "work", or actually does NOT work. Got two and BOTH of them leak. If you get them be ready to seal the entire seam yourself because it certainly isn't sealed at the factory. If you do that they are usable. Otherwise don't think about putting liquid in them.

Just okay
I bought a two pack knowing that they might leak and both did. We sealed them put them up along with another brand that doesn't leak at all in early spring and caught a lot of wasps in them (mostly in the other brand). We then noticed a bunch of yellow jacket wasps in the front of our house and put the traps up there with no results at all. We tried different recipes, rotten fruit, meat and still nothing. I'm still giving it 3 stars because it did catch some wasps in the back yard. Maybe it only works in certain seasons and locations or maybe yellow jackets just don't care.

They Leak
I purchased two packages of 2 each. I tried out one trap filled with fruit juice, sugar and a piece of meat. It worked great and I caught over twenty wasps in about 2 days. So I put out the second one and the juice leaked out of the seam that connects the two halves of the trap. Probably just a bad glue seal. I then replaced it with another one and that leaked as well. I have one left to see if it will work. So at this point, there is a 50% fail rate. I recommend filling with water first to see if they leak. I did not see the leak at first as it was slow. I set the trap (filled with the mixture) on a marble sink top and the juice etched the marble so I'll need to redo that. I was impressed with the traps ability to attract wasps and get them inside.

These saved our life in the yard
I bought two of these at a store last year when we moved into our new house and discovered there were wasp nests all over in the back yard. We didn't move until July so at that point, it was already a huge issue as preventative maintenance had not been done whatsoever! This was a huge letdown as we have a dog and love to BBQ and sit out back with our fire pit! Put the two ones up and within a week, there were over 100 wasps between the two! Within a few weeks, we were able to go outside and often not encounter a wasp which was a miracle compared to the weeks before! We ordered these in April this year to hopefully catch some queens as warms up and prevent nesting all together. One of them severely leaks which is why I took off a star. A little hot glue and good as new but still a pain to have to fix a new item...We just put them out and are hoping to have the same experience as last year! Hard to beat the price since I paid $10 each last year. In ours we use a fruit juice and some cat food. This gives the sweet smell and meat from the food to attract them. Keep in mind to place these away from areas you will be hanging out at they are an attractant! But if the wasp goes in, it doesn't come out!
