I work SAR and part of the 24/72 pack is a requirement for breaklights. After doing some research, the Recon Medical glow sticks were on the short list - and they were an Amazon’s Choice as well.I ordered a set during Christmas, and was thrilled when the arrived quickly. The contact during the purchase was also fantastic; they let me know when my order shipped, they let me know when the order arrived, and they followed up to make sure the order was correct and that I was satisfied with my purchase. That’s AWESOME customer service!Mine didn’t come in a plastic container, they came in a sturdy box. The box was well-packaged, and the contents were exactly as described.Of course, the first thing I do is play with my new purchase (yes, I’m the guy who buys the collectable Hot Wheels car and rips them out of the box so I can roll them across my desk. As a collector, I suck). I pulled one out of the box, snapped it, and - WOW! - the glowstick lit up and it’s BRIGHT! The plastic is better than expected - the hook and loop on the end hangs on my backpack and doesn’t stretch or snap off, and the light itself lasts far longer than I need it - at the 12 hour mark it’s still glowing!I am VERY happy with this purchase, and have recommended it to all my team members as the go-to breaklight for all our missions!Recommend!!! Had these for about a year before I decided to swap them out for a new batch. Tested them when I first bought them and again before I gave them to my kid to play with (very durable haven't had them break) they worked as good as they did when I first received them. Bright and long lasting why would I purchase anywhere else.

I can't say I've been big on writing reviews in one direction or the other, but after using these light sticks, i can say they have my business from here on out. They're incredibly bright, durable, and lasted well beyond the 12hr mark. I ordered a set and was skeptical. When the order arrived, I opened one, snapped it, and was immediately blown away with how bright it was. I left it on my dresser, went to work, and 16hrs later came back to find it still glowing brighter than other brand chemlights right out of the packaging. I brought them on a camping trip to mark tarp lines and tripping hazards, and the year old black lab puppy that my cousins brought with them. They worked much better than anything I've used before, and can't say I'll be buying elsewhere ever again. Well done.

They do last last 12 hours of giving a room usable murky green light. Thankfully, our order arrived before Irma did. One placed in the middle of the room provides enough light to walk around without bumping into things and being able to distinguish your wife from a sofa. I wouldn’t try using it for reading but it is useful in emergencies. We bought extra after Hurricane Irma and I keep some in the car as well. Just be sure to buy before you need them. After Irma most everyone was sold out on these and some suppliers were charging triple.

Ordered a box to add one to each of my Ned kits and vehicles for emergency use. I opened and tested one stick and it stayed very bright for 24 hours and took almost 40 hours to completely lose its glow. Not sure if all of them will last that long but that one last more than 3 times the advertised time. Very bright, very impressive, great value. I will be buying more.

These things are bright and last! I had to test one for myself and got almost 12 hours from it before it finally died off. I will admit I was weary about ordering these but was definitely worth the risk. I will be ordering more in the near future, just wish they had a few more colors to select from as long as they were as good as these.

Glowsticks arrived well-packaged. Randomly tested one of the ten glowsticks in the package at it worked fine. No issues snapping the glowstick to light it up. Very bright and lasted pretty long. Good to have on-hand in the event of a power outage or emergency where illumination may be necessary.

Might be identical to military issued 12 hr chemlights. Bright enough to illuminate work spaces for emergency work: chain ups at night, hazmat cleanup, applying 1st Aid and so on. Excellent duration for marking evacuation routes. Recommend several light sticks inside every vehicle glovebox.
