Navitas Organics Cacao Butter, 8 Ounce — Organic, Non-GMO, Fair Trade, Gluten-Free

I was so looking forward to receiving this cacao butter after doing much research. The intention was to create my very own whipped body butter cream for a skin moisturizer. For years I have only used Dr. Bronner’s organic unrefined coconut oil on my skin. I would be classified as an African-American, and I love to be moisturized. So I felt it was divine timing to elevate my self-care routine. I looked at almost every cacao/ cocoa butter and read all of the reviews for what Amazon had to offer. I decided on this one because it is responsibly sourced/ fair trade product. Also, cacao vs cocoa is cold-pressed in the butter manufacturing process, which maintains 100% of its initial nutrients. Finally, it is also good-grade, and I wouldn’t want to put anything on my body’s biggest organ (skin) that I couldn’t put in my intestines. Of course with Prime it arrived in 2 days. The bag seemed like it had been through the wringer, but I didn’t mind at all since the expiration date read it doesn’t expire for at least a year. It was in small nib pieces and a lot was like a chalky powder. It was slightly over one cups worth. I cut the nibs smaller so that it would melt properly. My entire kitchen had the “chocolate” like aroma! It was simply fabulous. I went through the process of creating a homemade whipped body butter thoroughly enjoying myself. The finished product was a stark white, fluffy, light, and creamy cream that I put in 3, 8 oz air tight containers 🫙. I even had about 5 oz. remaining. I am so pleased and grateful for this product. Now I have about 3 months worth of an organic natural body moisturizer! Thank you so much Nativas and Amazon for an amazing product.

I’m incredibly impressed with the quality of this product the cacao butter chunks, they came looking like they were just made straight from the tree and they’re fresh and smell divine, taste amazing, Low calorie food and if dried out I’m sure it could make a good powder but I’m not using it for that, I’m using it straight into my skin and I’m eating a little as well, I’ll mix it into my all natural diy products and I will be buying more right away as it’s getting used so fast in our home by everyone! Pregnant daughter lives to rub it in her big belly! It’s helping heal my stretch marks as well!! This is by far the best skin softener I’ve found and it smells amazing NATURALLY! You just can’t beat that anywhere!!

This stuff is a whole body joy!It has the subtle scent and taste of cacao, so just opening it is a treat to the senses! But the flavor (I sprinkled some on pancakes most recently and it was divine!) is lovely!I’ve also been using it as a heavy duty skin moisturizer ahead of winter dry skin and it’s the best I have ever found. Great for lip balm as well, as it keeps your lips from drying out for much longer than various other products made for that purpose.There is not one thing about this purchase that I’ve had cause to regret. Thanks for a great experience and product!

Great Product and price.

Item arrived quickly and in decent condition. My product was delivered during a heat wave in my area, so the product was really warm and starting to melt when it arrived. Fortunately I was home to accept delivery and was able to put the product in the fridge right away to cool it down. Be mindful of the expected weather conditions when you order this product.The product itself is very good quality and appears to be fresh. It has a very rich chocolaty smell and the bag contained various sized chunks. The taste by itself is very smooth, creamy, velvety, aromatic, rich and chocolaty. It has a mild/neutral natural sweetness with none of the bitterness of dark chocolate. The flavor and texture are excellent and is exactly what I was hoping for when I ordered this product.I bought this Cacao Butter to make Fat Bombs. I melted 150g Organic Cacao Butter and 50g Organic Grass Fed Ghee together in a Pyrex Measuring cup and added in 30g Allulose and 1/4 tsp Sea Salt and mixed until dissolved. Then I poured the mixture into a silicone candy mold with 1 in x 1 in cavities. After cooling I popped them in the freezer to harden them up even more and transferred them to an airtight storage container to store in my freezer. They came out excellent and the Cacao Butter and Ghee combo tastes like very rich and indulgent low carb lactose free white chocolate.

I keep it in the refrigerator as a reminder to sometimes use as a swap out for cow butter. So tasteful. Delicious on pancakes waffles in homemade pecan dark chocolate caramel turtles. I shave it into CHIA pudding put on top. I cook with it on pan fried and oven roasted vegetables. It is in chunks melts with ease immediately . I melted some added freshly roasted garlic for a seafood dipped , cod . Lobster would be delicious with this cocoa butter. It's great for baking, pan searing ,drizzling and dipping. Delicious on pan fresh cooked green beans. They are generous , the bag can easily last a few months. Oh yeah I also used it in keto to cauliflower mac and oatmeal with shaved coconut it replaced the but butter I sometimes add to my oatmeal. The packaging reseals . Stays fresh. I say buy it!! It can be preserved in the freezer or refrigerator but a cupboard is fine. I am confide by after this purchase experience to try other Navitas products now. I originally chose this one over other brands because it is organic.

This organic cocoa butter comes bagged in a resealable, sturdy bag as chunks, so you have to break off pieces to use it. It smells like chocolate, it is very smooth (it melts fast and uniformly when held between fingers), and it melts very fast in hot liquid (I add it to hot cocoa or coffee for richness of flavor). The pieces are also very moisturizing (perfect moisturizer and it taste delicious when used on one's lips and leaves a warm, barely there chocolatey scent on the skin) although I mostly used it as food. I am quite impressed with the product and will continue to buy it.
