My fault as I thought was like a heat pad that would be movable, but is a board like pad. WOuld be so much better to be able to be more movable to mold around back and body. Have not yet used enough to say if it is any good or not though

I use mine every night for several hours. I feel like it loosens my muscles. It doesn't help chronic pain so if that is your goal you will be disappointed. It's a little stiff and hard at first to get used to. Once you do it's a very deep heat. It doesn't get too hot just hot enough and it makes me sleep better when I use at bedtime because it's super relaxing.

Our last two Thermotex Infrared heating pads lasted for about 7 YEARS with constant use, on almost every day, several hours a day. My husband and I both had our own. They were bought about the same time and they died about the same time. They were well worn and highly appreciated. So of course I ordered more. I have back issues and my infrared pad comes to the rescue . In fact I use it in my desk chair. The first thing in the morning I turn it up to high. After awhile I turn it down to low and leave it on most of the day. The thing about infra red heat is that it penetrates without being wrapped around you. The hardness of the pad encourages good posture. The heat itself helps to relieve muscle issues.I am very, very happy with this product! The product is well made. BUT it does not heat well, has no temperature regulation, and does not relieve pain. I tried it multiple times, thinking it was me. Asked someone else to test it and got the very same reaction. Very disappointed. Perhaps something is wrong with the unit. No time to fuss around with shipping back and forth.

I had a herniated disc in my lower back and I was able to get better within a week after using the Thermotex Infrared Heating pad for one to two hours a day. I was able to go to the gym and do so back exercises to make my back muscles stronger. I felt pain the next day after exercising so I used the Thermotex Infrared Heating pad again and felt fine again. You have to rest either laying flat on your bed or sitting laying your back in an office chair back rest as much as possible. The idea is to get your torso weight off your herniated disc so it gets rest so it can heal. Thermotex Infrared Heating pad works better if you use it between your office chair and your back. Use the hard side of the pad towards your body. The soft side does not heat up. You have to sit up straight on your chair while using the Thermotex Infrared Heating pad. After using it you can lay on the back rest of the chair to get the weight off your bad disc. You will not get any better if you don't rest your back. The Thermotex Infrared Heating pad just helps accelerate your recovery so you must also do your part. You can also place your hand between the pad and your back to fix any pain you might have in your hands from using the mouse or keyboard. Infrared heat reaches 3 inches into your body so it is very effective by reaching all the way into your vertebrates and discs.
