I'm Not Scared, You're Scared

Read this with my 4 year old son, and we really enjoyed it. The illustrations were beautifully done, the storyline was funny and got a really positive message across, while helping kids get over fears and build confidence. Had some cute silly parts tossed in there, and provided us with a fantastic bead time story

This book tells a great story that will hold the interest of kids ( and their adults). It also has a predictable word pattern that will help beginning readers, a sequenced story that allows young readers to make predictions, and a hidden bird that will encourage children to look at the illustrations and encourage re-reading the book.

The flashes of Seth Meyers’ humor were delightful for an adult reading the book to a child.

This book comes along at just the right time for children and grown up kids alike, especially those who've become very accustomed to being cocooned in their homes during COVID-19. It's a sweet tale that lets kids know it's ok to be afraid sometimes. It's also a sweet tale for adults who may be prone to anxiety or agoraphobia (🙋‍♀️) to also know that it's ok to be scared sometimes. But for both young and young at heart, to illustrate that friends, family (and counselling, and professional help) might help you face your fears, hold your hand, bravely reconnect, and remind you of how much the world missed you. Bravery doesn't happen overnight - nor good teeth brushing habits - and that's ok! Practice makes perfect. Seth Meyers is a wonderful and thoughtful storyteller! This book makes me smile.

My 3 year old grandson is at the age of being scared at night of "monsters under the bed" and just "things".This book is so cute. You can use different voices and it really has several good morals. After the first reading, my grandson was saying the words , "I'm not scared, you're scared" in all the right places.His parents said it helped what they were trying to do at home and they loved the book too.

This is a great book for children, as it does a nice job of using words and pictures to explore the issue of being scared. It's a wonderful read for parents or grandparents to read to young children. It is written in a simple way that all children may be able to identify with. I definitely give it a thumbs up!

I used this book for a literacy program called Talking Partners in which we read story books with P4-6 children and then we discuss what the meanings may be. Rabbit was so brave and put up with all bears fears until it came to crunch and I’ll say no more. Perfect book for any age.

Got it to support ol Seth, and to have another new book to read to my 8 and 4 year old. I think it came 2 weeks ago, and we have read it nearly every day and it's still not getting old. My 4 year old already knows it by heart and does the voices for the rabbit while I do the bears voice. All in all, I would recommend this book to anyone who has a sense of humor, and a child, of course.
