Seasonic Topre REALFORCE RGB AEAX01 USB Wired 108-Key Keyboard

Background: I have owned 3 mechanical keyboards using Cherry Mx blue, green and red switches. I have also used many standard membrane switches on office computers. I tend to have heavy fingers and usually prefer switches that provide more resistance like mx green. Looks: They keyboard is really nice looking. The colors on each key really "pop" and the light reflects off the material between each key which lends a nice ambient glow effect. There is a small glossy area on the top right surrounding the volume keys that attracts fingerprints and doesn't really fit with the rest of the keyboard, but in the grand scheme of things it is small and doesn't really detract enough from everything else to matter. Feel: This is incredibly sturdy and has a nice weight to it. If you used it as a weapon you would do more damage to the other person than the keyboard. However, the switches and keys are the real start of the show. The Topre switches are very different from most mechanical keyboards. With a Cherry mx green or blue, as you push the key down you feel more resistance up until you hear the "click" and the switch actuates. With a Topre switch it stiffness is at the very top. You feel a little surface tension right away as you start to press, and then the key gives way and smoothly goes down to the bottom. The easiest way I can describe it is to imagine the keys floating on top of a few inches of water. If you start to push a key down the surface tension gives you a little resistance, but once it starts sinking the motion becomes smooth until you hit the bottom. It is definitely unique compared to other mechanical keyboards. Experience: I have been using this for about 2 months, and I can say it has quickly become my favorite keyboard. The adjustable actuation point is really useful, especially being able to do it on a per key basis. Do you have keys you hit accidentally all the time? You can just set them so they don't register a key press with a light touch. They keys are a standard layout, so if you want to replace keycaps it is no problem. Keyboards are very subjective, and the one downside to Topre switches is that they are very rare, you will have a hard time finding one to test. In my opinion it is probably the best blend blended feel out of anything I have tried. Value: I bought this for around $230. Very expensive compared to other mechanical keyboards, even some that are considered top of the line. It really boils down to what you need. If you want tons of macros, or a tenkeyless, or something with a million gaming presets this is not for you. If you can't really tell the difference between keyboards and a dell keyboards feels the same to you as a mechanical one, then don't waste your money. This is more for the person who prefers a luxury car like a BMW or a Cadillac compared to an expensive sports car. The fit, feel, and finish are all perfect. It is not the fastest and doesn't pack the most features, but everything it does have feels "right". Edit 12/21/18 - I have now owned this for over a year and it is still a joy to use. Everything has held up beautifully. The standard cherry mx stems have allowed me to try a variety of different keycaps and I ended up changing them to all white, which looks even better with the backlighting. All in all I am very happy with my purchase.

Update 2: Another LED has gone bad. I now have three keys I need to turn the light off completely or they will be a different color to what I have set. Update: removed a couple more stars because two of the LEDs have started to go bad. One of them only shows green and another will not show any green at all so I basically cannot have the keyboard all one color without seeing odd coloring on those two keys unless I use all red... No thanks. I have seen led issues mentioned by other people around the internet. It absolutely should not be happening and to me indicates they used very cheap components to make this very expensive keyboard. This is the first keyboard I have owned that has developed led issues and is the last keyboard of this brand I will ever buy. First things first. You are basically paying double the price of any other keyboard for the switches alone. Other than the switches this keyboard is nothing special. It is a plastic build and not overly strong plastic really. The keycaps are ABS. They are doubleshot ABS so they do feel nice but they are still ABS. For this price I think PBT would have been in order. The lighting effects are cool but every major keyboard company has similar lighting effects. That leaves the switches as the main thing increasing the cost by at least $100. One standout feature is that you can change the actuation point of the keys. So you can have them actuate at 1.5mm, 2.2mm or 3.0mm. The key travel is the same but the key presses will register at different points. It doesn't seem like much but it is significant. It's like the equivalent of being able to switch between Cherry red switches and cherry mx speed switches whenever you want. The topre switches do feel unique. They are like the smoothest mechanical switches you have ever used combined with the best rubber dome you have ever used. Are they worth the price? Well I would say you should really try them out to see for yourself. I could easily see someone being just as happy with some Cherry Clear switches or or whatever and saving $150. I really like them though. Overall I give it 4 out of 5 stars. The reason it loses a star is because for the price I think the case should have been made of metal and the keycaps should have been PBT. At $150 it would be a 5 star keyboard. On a side note Amazon sent this to me and the packaging was terrible or should I say non-existent. They simply slapped a shipping label onto the keyboard box and shipped it to me. All the corners were smashed. The keyboard was fine but if I knew they were going to send it like that I wouldn't have bought it through Amazon. If you buy this make sure to click that you want it sent in an Amazon box. I didn't care if the contents of the package were known but I had no idea that meant they would use the product package as the shipping container which I think is completely unacceptable for something that costs this much.

ゲーミング(FPS,アクション)目的で某razerの新製品と迷いましたがこちらにしました。 あまりカチカチするキーボードが好きでないのと、このキーボードは押したときにスッと沈んでくれるのが気に入りました。 デザインも好みで印字フォント（印刷ではないけど）がかわいいです。 他の方のリビューでキースペーサー必須とのことで同時購入しましたが納得です。 APC1.5mmでスペーサーをかませて使用しています。1.5mmにまだ慣れていないので誤タッチ多発ですが、流れるようにタイピングできると感じました。 また、スペーサーがスポンジのような素材なので若干の消音効果があります。 ソフトウェアに関しては及第点かな、と感じました。シンプルイズベストなのかな？ 追記：購入して1ヶ月経ったので改めての感想を。 打鍵感に関しましては最高の一言です。まさにシルキー。 ですが、皆さん御存知の通りキーのアップストローク音がバチバチ鳴ってかなり耳障りです(TYPE HEAVENのような音）。そして安っぽい。PBTのキーキャップをはめてみたところ、バチバチとした音からリアフォのようなカチャカチャという音に変わりました。 APCに関しましては素晴らしい機能であると感じました。購入当時はゲーミング用途(FPS)ということで、1.5mmに設定していたのですが、ゲームに集中して手に力が入ったりすると、無意識にキーが押されて反応してしまったため、現在は2.2mmで使用しています。 購入当時は慣れだろうと思っていましたがやっぱりダメでした。 3mmではない理由は、高速タイピング時に底打ちしないようにうつとたまに反応してくれない時があったからです。 また、FPSにおいて、個人的にキーストロークは4mmがベストであるという結論にたどり着きました。キースペーサーは底打ちの音を軽減してくれるのでなかなかいいです。ですが、スペーサーが本当に効力を発揮するのは連打です。FPSは確かに高速入力性を求められますが、連打はすることがないので私には必要ありませんでした。逆に、連打がしたいなら、カチカチと鳴る反応点がわかりやすいメカニカルキーのほうが適していると感じます。そして、スペーサー自体がスポンジでできていることから、押し込んだ時にグニャッとした感触がしてそれが好きになれないということもありました。 ソフトウェアは必要最低限の機能は揃っています。ですが、Razerなどと比較すると、やはり自由度は低いかなと感じます。（SDK出してくださいお願いします！）

第一印象はDucky ChannelのShine5に似ているなと思いました。 贅肉をそぎ落としたTypeHeavenと言うべきか。 91UDK-G(+23UB)からの乗り換えですが、タイプ音はうるさいと言うより安っぽい感じ。 クリック感は同じく45gのUDK-Gよりも若干固く感じます。 現在はハクスラやMMOくらいしか遊んでいないので、操作量の多いFPS等での操作感はコメントできません。 LED照明は全体を白一色で常時点灯、押し込み時のみ他の色に光るようにして使っています。 白以外の発色はそれなりにきれいに見えますが、もう少し明るい白に光ってくれる方が嬉しい。 購入後二十日程度しか経っていないこともあり、不点灯箇所はありません。 この価格で早々に不点灯が出ては発狂ものですからね。 既に東プレ以外の静電容量スイッチを用いた類似製品が出てくるようなので、東プレ的には後追いにならずに済んで良かったと言うところでしょうか。 東プレの全くの新規製品とはいえ、この金額を払うなら消耗の少ないPBTキーキャップを是非とも採用して欲しかったと思います。 二色成形であっても、ABSでは先が怖い。 色物を嫌う人は通常のRealForceを、好きな人・気にしない人はRGBで良いのではないでしょうか。 私自身は長く使っていけそうだと思います。 高かったし。 2017/4/30 使い始めて5ヶ月弱、一部キーのLEDに発光異常(白色が紫色に変色)が発生しました。 キー自体の動作は問題なし。 現在東プレへ問い合わせ中ですが、丁度連休と被ってしまったため回答待ちです。 久しぶりにUDK-Gを引っ張り出してきましたが、やはりこちらも捨てがたい。 同日午後、東プレ担当者よりメールあり。 休日中の返信にこちらの方がビビってしまう始末。 経過はまた後ほど。 2017/5/13 結局、新品との交換となりました。 詳細は知らされていませんが、LED自体の不具合だったようです。 サポートの対応が早く好印象だったので、滅多に付けない星五つとします。

発売日から購入して使用していますが、他のRealforceシリーズに比べタイプ感にスムーズさがなく感触がよくありません。（過去4本ほどRealforceを使用しています） バックライト以外はR2シリーズに継承されているため、光ることが重要でない限りはR2を待った方が無難かもしれません。

Expensive but way better than gaming keyboard for typing and very comfortable

この製品が販売される少し前のアナログ入力対応Realforceとの比較になります。 デザイン： ・キーボードのせり出した部分が少なくなりスリムでシンプルなデザインだと思います。 ・ゲーミングということですがプログラムボタンなどは無く余計な装飾などもないので普通のキーボードとして使えます。 RGBバックライト： ・きつい光ではなく柔らかい光の印象です。また、キーボード上で明るさや光らせ方なども選択できるので光が邪魔な時などもすぐに光を消すことができます。 ・複数機能を待つキーがあるんですがそのキーの下のほうの光方が鈍いです。LEDがキースイッチの上部についてるため仕方ないですが明るい場所だとキーの下のほうが光ってないように見えます。 ソフトウェア： ・キー一つ一つのアクチュエーションポイントを変更可能で変更するとキーボードにどのキーを変更したかバックライトで知らせてくれるのでわかりやすいです。 ・光らせ方も一つ一つ変更可能で自分の使うキーをわかりやすい色にしたりすることが可能です。個人的には入力されているキーを別の色で光らせるモードがきれいだと思いました。 ・キーのロックも設定可能でキーボードのショートカットでオンオフを切り替えられるので使いやすいです。 その他： ・上部のキーに割り当てられているショートカットで音量の設定などが出来たりアクチュエーションポイントの一括変更が可能だったりとキーボード上で簡単なことなら済ませられるようになっているので便利です。 ・アナログ入力対応のRealforceと比較すると若干キーが戻った時の音が高いです。キースペーサーに消音効果があるらしいですがキーが戻った時の音なのでスペーサーでは解決できないような気がします。 ・Nキーロールオーバーは確認しました。 ・キーキャップが2色整形なのでキーの表面が削れても文字が消えることはありません。 ・メカニカルキーのキャップが使えるので自分好みのキーキャップを探すのもありだと思います。 ・今後JISキーのモデルも出るそうなのでJISがいい方は待ったほうが良いと思います。 個人的にはデザインも含め使いやすいのでゲーミングというよりは通常のキーボードとして使っていきたいと思います。
