I have used plastic basters all my married life (42 years) to remove grease from browning hamburger and none of them worked well. Either the suction was temperamental or if it did work, it leaked out before I could squeeze it into a container. So Frustrating! This one has great suction and does not leak at all!

What is ESO, you ask? Simple- "Equipment Smarter than Operator". Like so many other reviews on Amazon, folks buy a product assuming they'll magically know how to use it, but don't. Then, blame the product for the failure. (Yes, there is even a correct operating procedure for the lowly turkey baster).If properly assembled, operated and maintained, there is not a better baster out there at any price. It will not melt when used in a hot pan, it will not crack and lose suction over time. It will not leech toxins into your food when heated. It is, essentially, the PERFECT TURKEY BASTER. PERIOD.The only issues anyone could possibly have are due to incorrectly utilizing the product.Allow me to elucidate; the opening is NOT too narrow. Liquids are rarely restricted by the diameter of an opening. But if you're sucking up solids as well as the liquids, you'll eventually develope blockage. Tilt the roasting pan towards one corner and create a pool, fill the baster from there. Boom.The bulb won't stay on? Suction draws the liquid into the baster and at the same time, draws the bulb more securely to the baster- provided it has been properly installed. Make sure the flange of the bulb is properly seated in the grove on the baster. Blamo!The bulb pops off when emptying the baster onto the bird- see all instructions above. Bazinga!If you take the time (and have the capacity) to understand how things work, you'll hit a homer every time.If you don't (or can't) understand, please, for everyone's sake... step away from the keyboard and keep your reviews to yourselves.

I simply bought this to remove the grease from my pans because the plastic when I was using slowly starting to melt at the tip so I was looking for a metal one A little bit less suction than the plastic ones but that's the only reason I took off just one star the whole thing

Works great for sucking the gas out of my lawn boys gas tank when I’m working on them.

Just used this for baked Chicken juice. It works great except some of the juice runs out before I can baste the chicken. Carful, it is metal and it heats up. Works great. Easy to clean. The bulb comes of easy enough to clean. I wouldn’t store the bulb on the metal part, it would probably loosen over time. Also I powder the bulb with cornstarch when storing.

Arrived on time. Love it. High quality rubber on fluid holder. Stainless steel easy clean...no bacteria

Thread were not properly machined, i cut myself on the first use. I had to trim them down
