This was just what I needed for a mixed media project. Love the sound.

I have always enjoyed doing woodwork; I bought these music workings for making wooden music boxes for gifts. I gave one tonight to a seven-year-old friend and she was delighted with it. I anchor the music workings solidly in the wooden box. To me, it doesn't seem any louder outside of the box than inside, but tonight's recipient had no trouble hearing the music. Since I am a musician, I notice when music is not keyed precisely to the exact tones; other musical people who purchase this product may notice that a few of the notes are not on perfect pitch. As my children have always cautioned me, "You get what you pay for." For inexpensive gifts, everyone to whom I have given a music box has been happy with it.

This music box is very high quality. The only problem I have (with mine being gold) is that the knob/key doesn’t exactly match the rest of the music box color, but if you’re only going to have the key showing then it’s fine. Definitely recommend this!

Sound is Loud once installed. Many people mention how quiet thes Boxes are in their Hand. They are not Quiet when Encased in something.They Play the Notes Very Rapidly if not adjusted propery. The adjustment is done by moving the spinner Wheel up or Down. Its Easily Fixed in Seconds. After Adjusting it Works Great.Sound Quality is as you expect from a little music Box. More of a Tingle type Musical Sound.
