Eloise at Christmastime

Very wholesome in comparison to others.

I wanted a complete set of these “Eloise” books, but could not afford to buy them at their “new” prices.I have now purchase all of them they Amazon’s “used” listings, and have been LUCKY enough that each book has arrived in “like NEW!” Condition!I highly recommend using Amazon’s “buy it used” program!

Story of a little five year old girl that lives in the Plaza Hotel in NYC and all the trouble she creates as a very inquisitive youngster.

I have fond memories of reading Eloise books as a young person and got this book to add to our Christmas Eve fun. It did not disappoint, and we had a delightful time listening to the CD of the story read by Bernadette Peters, which comes with the book. While listening to the CD, it was fun to follow along with the book and see all the marvelous ilustrations by Hilary Knight. It brought back so many memories and made me feel like a child again. Eloise, though rather an unusual child with a very unusual life who can be rather annoying to adults at times, has goodness in her heart. She is also hilarious. We had so much fun with this that we decided to keep the book and read it again next year when holiday time comes along.  Eloise at Christmastime: Book & CD

Great Christmas reading tradition! Always a good laugh trying to say all the fun lines. Nice addition to usual Nativity reading for fun.

I think this is a charming Christmas movie and don’t understand why it’s so hard to find. I actually like the Eloise movies better than the books! My kids were a bit horrified by how spoiled she is, which made me happy, but otherwise appreciated her good intentions.

So is my new niece who will be called Eli and will enjoy it next Christmas when older.

After downloading the kindle version of this book only to return it as there wasn't an audio recording as advertised, I discovered this pre used hardcover treasure....and it really is! The book was advertised, by World of Books Ltd, is in very good condition and it exceeded my expectations, there's barely a mark on it. Quite remarkable for a book published in 1990. Very reasonably priced too, at £4.16 it's cheaper than the kindle version. The fabulous illustrations can be fully appreciated in all their magnificent beauty. The story of Eloise is delightful! She is full of exuberance as the big day approaches, it's infectious! Fabulous touches too with her happy songs! Just perfect for children and adults alike, the spirit and joy of Christmas emanates from the pages. A friend recommended this book to me and I'm so pleased she did! Can't fault the book or the seller. Extremely happy with my purchase ...it's now safely tucked away on the shelf ready for next year!

This book brings back wonderful memories of my childhood spent at my grandma's, sitting with my mum on cold winter nights and having her read this to a very wide eyed child who was mesmorised by the drawings and the interaction i could have with the story. Sadly, as all children do, i ruined the original book with drawings and colouring in pictures etc and time wasn't kind to it. Even more sadly, it was thrown out when my grandmother died. I was so happy when i stumbled across it on Amazon and i really can't tell you how much of a wonderful book it is. I still get excited when i take it off the shelf, and i can't wait to be a mother myself one day and introduce this to my own children.

Bought as a gift! Been after this book For a long time,In perfect condition considering it’s a old book and was pre owned, looks newHighly recommend.
