All about Me!: My Remarkable Life in Show Business

Being accustomed to show-biz autobiographies that are often either a succession of well polished anecdotes or volumes that reveal one's heroes as less likeable than one would wish I was unsure if I should buy this.( I am a great fan of Mel Brooks and his films and did not want to be disillusioned.)However this book turned out to be an absolute delight. It is warm, kind, funny, fascinating and beautifully written and far exceeded my expectations. Mel Brooks story is the perfect escape from our current reality and I recommend it highly.

It's hysterical and a must for MB fans. Only arrived today and I can't put the book down, brightened my whole year :)

I've seen many of Mel's films, but couldn't resist buying this. What a scream from start to finish. It was absolutely the best autobiography I've read in years. All the behind the scenes stories and much more. If you loved 'Blazing Saddles', 'High Anxiety', or 'Young Frankenstein' you'll love this.

The title all about me says it all. A very funny laugh out loud memoir about his early life in brooklyn his army experience in world war 2 and the struggle to be a comedy writer and later a film director actor and producer. Well worth a read.

The book as exactly what one would expect from men Brooks. many interesting stories of how his films were made and of course lots of gags along the way. In the end I found it somewhat relentless and unsatisfying though.
