We bought these gates for two reasons. 1. To keep dog out of cat room so they can eat in peace and so dog won't eat cat poop. Works great! One cat just crawls under the gate and the other jumps it, pushing off from the top. Gate is very sturdy and has no damage even with cat pushing off it hundreds of times. 2. To keep dog out of kitchen and out from under foot when I'm working in the kitchen. Dig has never tried to go over or under. She can still see me through the gate, so she's okay with that.Overall, just love the gates. Have three now.Easy to install.

I’m really happy with this purchase and can’t go wrong with the price. The quality is good and wasn’t hard to install. It comes with paper guides so you have the perfect measurements and the best part is that it comes with two sets of latches, giving you two setups and you can move the gate from one location to the other.

We have this installed at the top of a staircase to keep our two pups from going down to the basement. The webbing started to come apart after about a month and then the plastic lower piece holding the main body on broke and now the whole thing is useless.Another cheap garbage piece from Amazon.

The house we're renting has pretty severe foundational issues. The doorways into our kitchen are so warped that tension gates don't work. I was looking for something to keep my dogs out of the kitchen while I'm cooking and to deter my kids from running laps through the kitchen.Pros:● Gate can be placed in irregular shaped doorways.● Easy to operate. Even my kids can easily open and latch this gate. I haven't had any issues with the gate opening or retracting. Very smooth operation.● Saves so much space! I love that I don't have to squeeze laundry baskets through a tiny gate opening anymore, and since there's no tension bar running across the floor I can sweep and mop without issues.● Nice looking design, not an eyesore.● Deters my dogs from going in the kitchen while I'm in there, slows my kids down because if they really want in the kitchen they have to stop running to open and close the gate.Cons:● The included hardware is awful. Three of the included screws broke off right at the head inside of the doorframe. I had to get heavy duty wood screws and find a new spot on the doorframe to reinstall the gate.● The hooks to latch the gate onto are plastic and not sturdy for long term or heavy use. One of our bottom hooks broke when it accidentally got kicked, and the other bottom hook ripped clean out of the wall. I replaced it with a metal screw-in hook and it's much sturdier now!● Kids think that the gate is great fun to pull out as far as it goes and then let go to make it loudly retract.● I would only consider this a deterrent. I would not trust it to keep my mischievous dogs out of the kitchen if I were not in there, and the fabric of the gate could be twisted to be climbed over or under.Overall I love the gate because it does what I need it to do, it's easy to use, and it accommodates the awkward space beautifully. If I knew then what I know now, I would have started out using my own screws and I would have only used the screw-in hooks instead of the included plastic hooks.

This was exactly what we needed as a deterrent for dogs and children to go through a specific doorway. Great solution!

This product was great in theory but once it arrived I was struggling to figure it out. I mean it’s kind of common sense, the instructions do not help and you’re pretty much on your own. I tried my best to figure it out and I thought it was all set but with the slightest touch the stand would fall right off the mount. Over and over I tried to fix it but i’m not getting anywhere. It looks great it’s sleek and modern looking and so much better than an eyesore regular gate. It’s just not sturdy and not worth risking not being right there and something happening.
